It is interested to note that no body is interested in making people healthy. Our health experts think that destroying all the bugs will make every one healthy which is wrong and the more bugs u eliminate, the more problems we have as it is evidenced by the usage of probiotics now with more benefits being reported from all aspects from intestinal health to immunity and prevention of cancer.

I think it is better to leave the bugs and destroy the FDA/ Government Thugs which alone will make all of us much healthier. The pharma companies / doctors/FDA does not want any one to be healthy and it is in our interest to choose the right approach to keep our selves healthy.

If our government actually cared about protecting our health, why haven't they banned SMOKING??????

Focusing on raw milk is a joke when we look at what else is out there that is condoned (but I guess they aren't getting paid enough taxes).

Its so hypocritical...

I have a neighbor who is a dairy farmer. We told him we were interested in purchasing milk from him. He said by Idaho law he is not allowed to sell raw milk to the public. We were appalled. I remember my mom buying raw milk when I was graowing up in Utah. I just thought it was the consumers choose to purchase direct from a dairy. We are purchasing Horizon milk which is produced without anitbiotics, hormones and such, but its breaking the bank. Its outragiously expensive, especially in out mountain community. Thanks for the great article.

maybe beautiful natural things are not meant to be gotten hold of so naturally. if there is effort involved in getting hold of raw milk, involving actually making friends with a cow for example, might'nt it make the world a better place? should everything be gotten hold of with money, in stores?

I don't have to worry about not being able to drink raw milk..I have 2 nigerian dwarf does,1 LaMancha/

nubian cross doe,1 mini-nubian doe,& 2 nubian does..I also have 3 bucks to keep all of these ladies

bred.I made raw milk cheese twice this year & it was really good..I might start a milk share program when

my nubians are ready milk..They're still too small to breed..5 of these does are bred for the 2008 milking

and cheese making season..I live in Ramona,CA a little town in San Diego county..I also have one

Boer doe which I bred and she will be milkable too,her buck kids will be raised for meat..

That's another subject someone should bring up..Goat meat is good to eat...

I live in WA state and have only found one store that sells raw dairy products. That store is Marlene's Market; there is one in Tacoma and one in Federal Way. They sell both raw cow and goat milk. The raw cow milk sells for almost $10 per gallon. Very costly for a family with four kids! We go through a gallon in about 2-3 days. This year I will be planting a garden and as many fruit bushes and trees our yard can handle. I want to leave a legacy of good nutrition and health for my children not one based on chemical dependency.

While I'm not sure about numbers and I'm not a milk drinker (but love cheese), I think that more people nation-wide have become ill from e-coli from veggies (spinach the most recent in CA) - and I don't see a law in effect requiring all our spinach be cooked/pasturized? We moved to Oregon, recently, but I think they're still serving raw spinach in CA?

Perhaps not a great analogy, but, banning raw milk ANYWHERE, is the wrong approach. We need to make people responsible for operating clean dairies.
