WLE!!!!...Cell Phones, power lines, electric blankets are all electro magnetic fields (EMF) this discussion is about static magnetic fields!! Please read all information fully before making stupid, uneducated remarks. I wear an Ecoflow Bioflow high power magnet on my righthand wrist. Ecoflow magnets were originally based I was told on the effect of magnetic fields of fluids. During World War Two, Hurricanes were fitted with electro magnets to improve the performance of crued petrol. The idea is that the molecules are aligned more efficiently therefore improving the circulatory flow. These magnets work for some people and not for others, try one and see.

I recently purchased a device called the Beamer 3000, it hasn't arrived yet so I haven't tried it out. It is a computerized program using electromagnetic fields that the computer calibrates. It was developed in Germany and extensive tests show dramatic increases in microcirculation. In Germany it is used as a medical device in many clinics, of course here in the US it can't be marketed that way because it hasn't been approved by the FDA, so it's marketed as an exercise aid. I wonder if Dr. Mercola has heard of this or if anybody on this board has, if so what have you heard? Thanks, Sherry

1- My understanding is that man made things run on alternate currents which are detrimental to our health and everything in nature is direct current, so electronic stuff is bad, not magnets made of minerals and elements that are part of earth.

2- If the earth has two poles (north/south) and all living organisms benefit from the magnetic energy of it, how is it that unipolar magnets are good and bipolar not? because then people in the opposite hemisphere of the "good pole side" should all be getting sick and life could not be posible.

3- As a Physcial Therapist in 13 years of practice I've seen very good result with many different patients and so far no one has reported side-effects. Common sense makes me choose magnets over drugs whether is to relief pain, increase blood flow to an area, maximize oxigenation, hydration and nutrition.

4- If it's all about a placebo effect, well didn't we all got the latest info through this site on how the mind can heal anything, including cancer.

In 2004 I was treated with Electrical magnetic therapy by a physiotherapy clinic. This Chiropractic clinic had a electrical magnetic device that it looks like a hollow drum. I was receiving the electric magnetic waves while seating surrounded by this drum. The doctor has closed down his clinic and I have not found this kind of device or treatment anywhere else in Toronto. I have no see anything like no even in the internet. Could anyone tell me what is this device call and where I could get more information.. It heal my inflammation due to arthritis very fast. I would love to learn more about this kind of device and if there is anyone out there who has receive similar treatment.

Second part - magnetic fields affecting a 'diagonal grid line'

So I wanted to dowse one diagonal grid line that went across my apartment back in the 1980s. I wondered whether it would go in a straight line. Unknowingly, an unconnected loudspeaker that I had stored underneath my writing table and that was in my way, I had pushed aside without taking any notice but later proofed to have distorted the 'grid line'. It looked like two Gaussian distribution curves, however they were both tilted to one side - the same as the speaker! I discovered that after I finished dowsing and looked at the strange pattern of thumb tags that I had placed into the floor where I had located the grid line. The pattern was surprisingly symmetric aside from the slight tilt and then I notice the loudspeaker standing in the midst of the pattern. There was obviously a connection.

I have photos of this and also a scaled drawing - it is quite amazing.

Now to my word of caution: if your bed is located on a crossing of grid lines that is not good for you then a magnetic bed might make things worse. Dr. Curry and Dr. Hartmann have found these grid lines (the grids are now named after them) and found evidence of cancer caused by some grid line crossings. Dr. Ludger Mersmann and Dr. Noemi Kempe found the connection with distortions of Earth's magnetic fields and grid line crossings.

What I conclude is that either the magnetic field or the magnetic vector potential of a magnet (such as from a loud speaker) can distort these grid lines and I have no idea what it would do to your health if your bed with a magnetic mattress is on such a grid crossing. Only a very experienced dowser will be able to tell.

My father died of stomach cancer and years later a dowser found a crossing where the bed place of my father had been!

The big mystery for me is (as a physicist) what these grid lines are and why there is a connection with magnetic fields. Actually, the grids are rather planes than lines.

In the first post here, Dr. John Zimmerman, a very good friend of mine, was mentioned. For several years he had the BEMI study group and he published several newsletters 'BEMI Currents'. In one of them he wrote about the work by Dr. William H. Philpott on the use of the proper magnetic pole - the north pole. Since Nikken magnets are using pads that have a magnetic pattern on it, they expose both the north and south pole to the applied area. By the way, the geographic North Pole is actually the magnetic south pole since the north magnetic tip of the compass needle points to the 'North Pole'. This usually causes a lot of confusion. But this is the convention as used in physical science. There is however another definition - that of the 'biomagnetic' north and south, which are just the opposite of the definition in science and technology. This definition came from Albert Roy Davis and Walter C. Rawls. So the biomagnetic north is the 'technical' or conventional magnetic south pole! To make matters worse, there is yet another definition used in the area of healing and it uses the terms 'negative' and 'positive' magnetic poles. The negative pole lies at the geographic North Pole, is therefore the conventional magnetic south pole and therefore the biomagnetic north pole. If that makes sense.

According to Dr. Philpott, the beneficial magnetic pole used for healing is the biomagnetic south pole (positive), which is the conventional magnetic north pole. To check for the proper polarity, one can suspend the magnet in question on a fine string or thread and wait until it comes to rest by aligning itself with Earth's magnetic field. The side of the magnet that points toward the geographic North Pole is the one you want to apply to your body!

One note of caution: I discovered by coincidence that the magnetic field (or its vector potential) of a loudspeaker magnet distorted a diagonal 'grid line' that I dowsed in my apartment in the 1980s. More about that in my next post.

I am glad you razed your experience. I am a Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedic Functional & Neuro-Muscular Dentist with over 24 years experience. Based on my work I developed the concept of Cranio Maxilla-Vertebrae-Mandibular Integration. In simple words it is the relation of the Mouth Space ingredients in a Gravity environment which makes our Body physiologically and functionally change, stress, respond, react, complicate, decompensate.

I AGREE with you and your conclusion: magnets may temporary improve the patients being, but the long term prize is on asymptomatic HIDDEN destruction masking pathology.

Hello. I am new to this group. Someone I met at a convention in Minneappolis introduced me to Dr.

Mercola's site. In regards to magnetic technology I believe the applications are vast and beneficial to

all who choose to open their minds and learn more about it. I've known for years that the properties

held by magnets could be used to enhance people's lives. I once read about a car that was made using

magnetic technology. It did not use gasoline to run the engine. The braking system was also magnetic.

The only things that this car needed was oil for the crank case and a battery. This car ran quiter,

faster and cleaner. This car never made it into the market place. It's funny how people pick and choose

for us what is okay to use. There was a book published around the time the polio vaccine was invented.

I had the privilege of reading it and I was amazed with the facts and case studies complied in this book.

The book was about the healing properties of light by utilizing various spectrums. One of the applications used today is on newborns with jaundice. Only 25 books were ever made. This book was never discredited by the medical society, but pushed aside. Again, other people picking and choosing what is good for us as people and society. It is difficult to live in a world where money is the the main driving force. Genuine interest in people and their needs are secondary when it comes to pocketing the bottom line. People are becoming more aware and they are searching for alternatives to the main

stream of life.

I am a Kinesiologist and I feel cdmpelled to tell you my story and test it out for yourself. If you don't know Kinesiology is very much involved with work on the Meridians. I was told that magnetic jewellry works by breaking the energy line of the Meridain. Being someone who takeis thimgs in and investigates them before believing, I did this with the Meridians.

2 days later I had a client who came to me and I couldn;t find a single Meridian intact. After 25 Minutes of struggling to find out what had happened. (This wasn't a new client I had worked with her before and she had done a lot of healing and seemed to be doing well). She then stated did I like her new bracelet? This immediatley peaked my interest and I asked her if it was magnetic. She said Yes , she had a sore wrist and bought the bracelet, proceeded to wear it and then had a lot of other symptoms that had since been gone return. (She was having hot flushes ).

I have since avoided anything to do with magnets as if they wipe out the Meridians they are then taking away the bodies inate ability to heal itself. As this is what I work to give back to people through kinesiology I question the use of magnetic therapy.

Please comment as I am interested in others beliefs

In addition to the magnets to reduce swelling, try fish oil, which will limit the inflamation because it inhibits the production of arachidonic acid.
