Thanks, Dr. Mercola, for the google tips. I actually did learn a few tips I did not already know.

However for those who choose to argue over whether vegetarianism or meat-eating is better, you should keep in mind Dr. Mercola's Metabolic typing. Those of you who say you feel better as vegetarians are probably Carb types. And those who feel better as meat-eaters (myself included) are probably Protein types. No one type fits everybody, which is why no diet works for everyone.

I found it interesting and I will definitely try some of those hints. I especially liked the built-in converter as I like to try recipes and it is always a bother to calculate ingredients in metric amounts.

Regarding the unrelated vegetarian issue, I think this again depends on the particular person and metabolic type. For some people a certain type of eating might be healthy while for others not so much or even damaging. As for me, I did try vegetarianism for about two years after which I gave it up as it was extremely frustrating to always see those delicious-looking meat menus in the cafeteria and not being able to eat them because of my own beliefs. Besides, I did not feel any healthier by becoming a vegetarian. So eventually gave it up and now eat meat too although not that much.

I think each person should find out what kind of metabolic type he/she is and eat accordingly. I did buy the Metabolic Typing Diet book mentioned on this site somewhere but haven't done the test yet - wonder which type I'm gonna be... Also, it might be difficult to adhere to those eating rules once you are a member of a group (family) and eat separate foods.

Yeah Nova, you tell them!

Seriously! I eat meat, but these comments are really extreme by the people addicted to meat in this forum! The only way I will eat meat is if it is raised by my own hands, or by someone I know and trust. Grass fed humanly treated with lots of love, etc! However since putting down 95% of my meat consumption and supplementing with Hemp protein I have felt better than ever!

You get almost everything from Hemp and eggs that you get from Meat... So seriously guys... get a grip. The healthiest people I know are pure raw foodists who do not touch meat. Of course there are unhealthy vegetarians out there! I meant you can eat donuts and coffee all day and still be a vegetarian right? It's about the quality of the ingredients... All I know is that meat tends to make the people I hang out with extremely hostile, but again that is the poisoned meat they are eating... Good meat will not do that to you! It is really all in the quality of life style that you live... nothing more!

They all had their personalities and they definitely had their position in their particular herds. They even had going for them their favorite partner or one they despised. They felt pain when birthing came they moaned and cried and some would look to you for help. They knew death and fled from the bull hauler as soon as he showed up. It was a heart ache to see them shipped for slaughter or to slaughter our own to feed ourselves. If you are vegetarian and feel well then its absolutely the diet for you, if you need meat and need to keep fit its just the ticket for you. What's all the stupid hurtful comments to one another?? Everyone has to do by what they know and what they need and so quit judging. State your experience with the subject and without sneering at the other fellow.
