Thanks to better bra knowledge (and Oprah) many women, myself included, are moving up in bra size. I went from a 34b to a 36c. I look better and am much more comfortable.

Clearly this article did not take every variable into account when it formed it's hypothesis!

It took some getting used to but now I would never go to using it again. It is pure poison and our skin absorbs all we put on it. After a few weeks of not wearing deodorant one day the under arms of my white t-shirt were literally dark brown almost nicotine-like or tarrish! I couldn't belive it. It was as if that stuff had been all blocked up inside of me and once I stopped the deodorants from blocking my natural functions my body expelled it. It has never happened again since. The key to successfully going deodorant free is to drink PLENTY of good fresh distilled water or RO water. Then the toxins your body rids through perspiration will be dilute and won't cause BO. Also all my weird skin problems disappeared after I stopped using regular commercial "soaps" and shampoos which are truly harsh detergents and poisons that perpetuate a need to by more of these poisons to counteract their effects such as dry rashy skin and hair. Researching all this stuff can be very time consuming but the resulting knowledge you gain and the power to make informed decisions is well worth it.

Basically, instead of complaining we should all invest some time and do our homework to find the non toxic natural alternatives to many of the personal care, cosmetics and household products (and trust me muuuuuuuch cheaper as you might already suppose). Following the rule of Dr. Mercola "If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your body.", I have invested my time in reading for several months, I have done some tests on myself and if it can be of any help to any of you, I would like ot share my knowledge so far:

Antiperspirant - plain old baking soda under your armpit. Easy, cheap, perfect!

Dry Hands -Olive oil with St. John's wort oil (already prepared in your health food store or pharmacy) with few drops of your favourite essential oil for scent if needed

More or less the same for dry face skin

Instead of shampoo - Baking soda (1 tablespoon mixed with water), apply, leave bit and rinse. Than depending on how big is your hair 1 tablespoon ACV mixed with roughly half cup water for conditioner. I know,I have also been sceptic, but believe me you will be positively surprised!

Hair gel - boil few tablespoons of flax seeds in water, strain and refrigerate

As for household products, for laundry a combination of washing soda, borax and natural soap, baking soda and vinegar for countless other aplications and so on.

Please do a little search over the net for this stuff and I guarantee you will be happy and satisfied for doing it - healthy, non-toxic, cheap and aligned with the vision I belive most of us here share!

Many natural vitamins and doing a 360 in my family's lifestyle made a huge difference. I wish you all well and have a happy day - every day we are alive is a good day!

Of course it is a complex matter. However, I do have a problem regarding lipsticks. I recently ditched all my commercial cosmetics and managed to find soap and basic items for skincare relatively easily, now use additive-free soap, shampoo, conditioner, EV coconut and olive oil, baking soda. I haven't been using any/much makeup before either, however, as I work at the front desk of a large hotel, I feel that I should at least put some lipstick and I have been using mostly lip gloss, also, I now have braces on my teeth for a while and regular lipstick tends to get stuck on the brackets. So, lip glosses with a subtle color used to do well before I found out about the harmful ingredients of cosmetics. Now I can't seem to find a reliable, preferably gloss-type lip color anywhere, I did order some lip color from MiEssence but they feel so dry on my lips! All the so-called organic make-ups, like Dr. Hauschka for example, when you actually read the ingredients, contain something harmful. If anyone has any suggestions, pleeeeeeeeease, let me know.

Virgin olive oil is far superior to those nasty facial creams. It's a great lip moisturizer too!

My father didn't believe in dairy and we rarely ate meat...so the first 12 years of my life...I was very tiny.

When I went back East...he was shocked when he saw me.

I didn't use make-up, deodorants, fragrances or drink out of plastic bottles. The only thing I did was go through a radical change of diet...my relatives believed in dairy and meat.

Synthetic or natural - hormones are hormones - designed for a specific species. Human beings were not designed to be using milk from another species...which contributes to a 500 lb growth in their first 9 months of life.

In order to raise steers and fatten them - most farmers in this country give them female hormones. Wonder why we have a problem today in this country with so many hormonally-unbalanced men and women? We are not supposed to be ingesting dairy or meat which is loaded with animal hormones!

Humans are not cows. However, those who eat lots of dairy grow taller...but have more porous bones and are subject to osteoporosis and rickets.

I have found it to be true in my life.

I was a vegetarian for 3 years...ate a lot of SOY based things for protein. I was never so sick in my life. I gained weight, had 11 miscarriages etc etc and never thought it was from my new "HEALTHY" lifestyle till I read an article on soy.
