I love Pandora it has proved to be an excellent outlet for not only holiday music but many and most other generes.My nephew Billy Joel Mills says he has used all of his possible stations and still wants more.As a musician I find myself immersed in the music .Thanks Dr.Joe for the turn on to Pandora

Hey BrianYYC, Christmas isn't the only festival celebrated at this time of year. You might want to expand your understanding of what season this is. Not everyone is a Christian.

Granted, the music we're talking about here is for Christmas, but let's not forget our friends of other faiths!

SATELLITE INTERNET USER FYI - 2 pages on Mercola.com (one of them this one, the other with no media) and Pandora in the last 10 minutes of the hour with no other usage that hour equaled 17+ MB.

So, you may not want to use Pandora if you don't want to exceed FAP (fair access policy). Others with limited downloads on their IP, definitely a high usage site. I can say that it probably took at least 15MB for the 10 minutes I tested it. A song download can be from 3-8 MB when you purchase online. It looks like Pandora usage mimics downloading each song individual as if for purchase. Whereas streaming radio - such as Radio U's Christmas Channel takes approx 16MB per hour.

Those who don't know reading this: HughesNet sattelite (and other sattelite services supported by HN) limit basic users to 200MB a day. That means You Tube, MySpace, and even game sites can easily slow down high speed access to less than dial up speeds if the 200 MB is exceeded in any 24 hour period. The throttling last for 24 hours. Why do we use it? There isn't an option B.

Pandora is excellent. Found it as a result of an earlier Dr. Mercola mention and now have 12 "stations" on my selection list. The only major downside seems to be their licensing agreement with the "labels" which precludes replays and playing a particular song on demand. For that I go to Imeem or Songza, or YouTube.

Pandora is great for broadening your options of artists who play "your kind of music". :-)
