And it ends up in the bodies of water.

This caused major embarrassment to Canadian environmentalists in 70s, when they went on about First Nations being victims of pollution and mercury poisoning, when in fact it was mercury from deposits under the lakes, where they caught their fish.

Most mercury charts rate it N/D, no detectable levels.

As for shark and swordfish, unfortunately anyone who eats out, may be victimized by the wide-spread marketing scam -- inventing fictional nicknames for it, to get around consumer resistance to these products.

So don't eat any fish unless you know 100% what it is, no matter how "familiar" those fictitious names may sound.

And when it's breaded and fried, anything can be inside, who is going to prove what fish it is??? Large chains are unlikely to cheat in this, they buy huge amounts of same fish, quite cheap.
