I did not know that the drug cos spend 4 times more money on coercing/bribing doctors than they do lying to us. That is an eye-opener. Regards cholestrol levels, the drug cos have done those figures the same way they have done the figures on blood pressure. In other words. they have used their influence to cause the blood pressure figures to be lowered from the old standard. It has nothing to do with science and everything to do with profits. They have done the same thing with cholestrol level figures. Cholestrol levels are not really a level thing as much as what the ratio of high-densitly lippor is to low-density lippor. As long as the HDL is significantly higher than the LDL, you have no worries. Many countries in eastern europe have a very low incidence of heart troubles yet the chholestrol levels there on average are above what western standards are. But, the HDL is always a good deal greater than the LDL.
