This is one such occasion. Sharks are nature‘s most efficient killing machine, and can hunt and kill their prey with remarkable ease.
Google Sea Shepherd Paul Watson Shark

Human beings are skilled at justification. Every year humans slaughter over 100 million sharks yet we depict them as vicious and blood-thirsty killers.

No more than 12 people a year are killed by sharks worldwide.

In fact is it more dangerous to play golf than to swim in the ocean with sharks. More golfers are struck by lightning and killed each year than the total number of shark fatalities. Many more humans are struck and killed by boats every year than are attacked by sharks.

More people are killed by coconuts than sharks.

I would hear stories of the great whites that patroled southern California Beaches near the Catalina Islands, and occasionally of shark attacks, but I only lost the joy of surfing when I found a surf board with a three foot wide shark bite out of it, complete with broken shark teeth left in the board.

I never went back to the beach with a surf board, and even my trips for swimming and a boogy board were rare, and infrequent. Knowing now that sharks can jump that high, I am amazed at the relaxed attitude of shark fishermen, and divers in shark areas. That shark puts Air Jordan to shame.
