In the American Lung Association State of the Air 2004 report, information on air pollution was listed state-by-state and a country-by-country basis.
Our Senator Wyden took a toxin meter to show that we have 40 FORTY times the allowed level of Benzene....the EPA refuses with every phone call to admit that we are suffering from pollutants. Little kids on the block next to mine in SW have to be carried up the stairs, they are so debilitated.

The state refuses to clean up a superfund site that is causing the death of many by blowing into Portland from east in the gorge and the answer is that cleanup is too expensive.

There is a sizable lobby of people who refuse to discuss the filthy air because it might make it more difficult to sell property here in an already down market.

if anyone knows of a method of cutting down convulsive coughing please leave a comment. nothing works so far for me.
