Environmental exposure to a widespread compound used to make common plastic food containers and baby bottles and to line tin cans interferes with cell division in the eggs of female mice, according to research. My question is: If you would like to buy glass containers to store food in, which ones are safe? I know that the glass is safe, but usually even glass containers are sold with some sort of plastic cover on them. Does anyone know of a good brand that sells glass containers with glass tops? or glass containers with safe plastic tops?

I too avoid plastics when possible. However, just a week ago, I read Dr. Mercola's excitement in using the Lotus Ozone system to clean his vegitables. I've seen the Lotus system. I believe the container is made of plastic. Ozone being a very oxidative water, wouldn't this combination be dangerous?

In the mean time, while contemplating on an ozone generator like Lotus, I'm wondering if the repid oxidation method used in ozone produce cleaner can eventually oxidises the good stuff in food too, as in the precious vitamins and antioxidents. I'm sure ozone is not an intelligent substance that can distinguish what's good or bad, right?
