I think it's appalling that our government persecutes doctors who would otherwise prescribe theraputic amounts of growth hormone to us aging folks. My doctor would prescribe it for me if he weren't afraid. He has an anti-aging specialty.

I shall defer to Doctor Ronald Klatz on this issue. He is THE expert, NOT Dr. Mercola. HGH is currently produced as a homeopathic oral spray (sublingual), very effective, very gentle. HGH is actually a long chain amino protein, made up of 191 amino acids in a fragile long chain. It is not like taking massive amounts of estrogen or testosterone. It is VERY NECESSARY for vitality and strength. The concept of "side effects" only relates to very large doses of injectable forms of HGH which were used in the earlier trials over the LAST 50 YEARS!, not homeopathic oral sprays. Dr. Klatz states in his excellent book (Grow Young with HGH, 1997) that the optimal goal is to replace HGH levels to that of a normal 30 year old, whose HGH levels have fallen about 20 to 25% from the high of around 20 years of age. The fear and ignorance spread by misinformed "doctors' and other "experts" about this exceptional MICRONUTRIENT is astonishing. I am surprised here that Doctor Mercola has shown himself to be towards the ignorant side of this issue. Of course, perhaps when he is able to market it on his website he may change his "tune". My wife and I (both 56) have seen astonishing improvements just over 4 months of use, with an improvement of our vision and the elimination of my wife's menopause symptoms being the most profound and noticeable effect, not to mention the improvements in our skin, sleep patterns, and mental attitudes.

I'm 49 yrs old and am "pre-menopausal" I'm taking bio-identical HRT, it's prescribed. The 3 reasons given in the article above from Dr. Mercola he doesn't mention bio-identical HRT. Does anyone have any comments or concerns?

I take both HGH and Testosterone and the difference is amazing. I get by very well with 6 hours of sleep a night, have the energy of a twenty year old and have gained muscle mass.
