She does not like the idea of taking perscription pain pills, but needs to manage her pain. She does not want to go on birth control, but that's about all her doctor can recommend.

I've done a search on your site, as I am a big fan of yours, but find little/no info. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

I am 63. Back in the seventies i went through hell with birth control pills: hypertension, ovarian cyst, hair loss, brown spots on my face (one was across my upper lip looked like a mustache.)

I read Barbara Seaman's books "The doctors case against the pill & Women & the crisis in sex hormones. I have not taken any hormones since. I know someone (age 60)on them. Whether it is the hormones or something else, she is not as interesting to talk to anymore. She talk consists of minutia most of the time(ie housework etc) She used to read more. She has been on hormones for about ten years. She complains of headaches, and other pain.
