Australian researchers found that babies who often regurgitated or vomited after eating were more likely than others to have heartburn

re: What To Do When Your Infant Is Vomiting Persistently

This might be a little off-topic, but I hope it helps if anyone needs it.

I'm told that, as an infant, my dad spit up every time my grandma breastfed him, so they thought he was allergic to her milk. They fed him (unpasteurized) goat's milk instead, and he had no more problems spitting up. My brother had the same problem, he spit up every time my mom breastfed him, but she just kept breastfeeding until he got over it and stopped spitting up. What I discovered with my own son is, as a young infant, he needed to be burped fairly often to keep him from spitting up. As he got a little older and a little better at burping, he stopped spitting up completely.

A friend of mine said her son had colic so bad, he screamed constantly for his first couple months of life. She fed him (unpasteurized) goat's milk, and viola! no more screaming.
