Please dont tell me that destilled water is bad without providing a new solution. Our tap water needs to be treated -it is bad, if not destillation then what???

I can't believe in this day of high tech research that we can't get a definitive answer about distilled water. I have been drinking it for a lot of years and know of no "problems" it has caused. I now mineralize it with X20 (everlastinghealth.info) so I guess it's a mute point but I would like to see real studies done but who would do it since there's no $$$ in it.

WHOA - I have a major problem with this:

While I became fascinated with Emoto's work, and the idea behind it - consciousness and other factors affecting water,

I have recently become convinced that it is BUNK! I don't say this lightly, as I still do believe in energy and the like.

However, careful research of Emoto's work, and even reading his own books, one finds a COMPLETE lack of

rigorous methods that tie together the experiments with the supposed claimed results and cause-effect.

He simply takes hundreds of photos of water, then has a team PICK which samples they SUBJECTIVELY find most beautiful or symmetrical.

Then they APPLY their choces to the terms, or groups, or origins of the water they are testing. Check it all out for yourself.

I so wanted to believe in this stuff, but it is ENTIRELY misleading.

If someone could VERIFIABLY do these experiments, or counter my argument with some real evidence, I would be open minded about it.

This is interesting, but I wonder how this works. It seems that distillation would basically be repeating the processes of nature, just by adding a lot more heat.

** By no means am I a fan of distillers, I find Reverse Osmosis to do roughly the same job with a lot less maintenance, less water used to produce pure water, no electric energy required (for most residential applications anyway,) and lower cost to purchase and maintain - but that being the case, how does making and condensing steam end up with a different product than rain? Distillers just seem to be repeating part of the hydrologic cycle in a container.

A better picture would be appreciated here - the "pure water" photograph is crystal clear. The one of the 'damaged distilled water' looks more like a pimple than anything else... I've also read that in order for these crystals to even form, that some "contaminant" needs to be present for the water to stick to and form these shapes. If distilled water is free from anything except water - would that not account for the different shape (or in this case, apparently "shapeless") crystals???

The Pure and Brita water filters are inferior filters because of the granulated nature of the carbon in the filters that lose their effectiveness very quickly, and only filter out the chlorine. Plus, you have to replace it every 3 months. A solid carbon filter is much more effective, and reduce (by 95% or more) many more contaminents, heavy metals, drugs, water sanitizing after-products, sediment, and parasites, and is good for one year. The Multi-Pure water filter is one of these. The Aquadome is inexpensive to purchase, and the replacement filters are not pricey either. I love the water that comes out of my filter.

I have not known anyone suffering from mineral depletion from drinking distilled water extensively. The body contains many corrosives, including digestive acids and saline. They react differently in a human body than they would in a lab.

Through out history, mysticism has always been the explanation for ignorance. why not keep an open mind about something until you have tested it. Some of us need to cancel our "Flat earth club" membership.

I'm a little leery of this being actual science when websites like GodsDirectContact, etc., are referenced.

Even if the science is valid, why discredit it with mysticism?
