One must wonder if insomnia is caused by trying to get more sleep than that person's body actually requires. I sleep around 5-6 hours a night and that's what I perform best on. Any more than that and I feel drugged the next day. I actually only got about 4 1/2 last night and feel GREAT today. Much more alert than I was yesterday after getting *gasp* 8 hours.

Now aged 66 I am on top of the world and health too after regular check-ups. There is too much to enjoy in the world than to sleep over it; and yes I do enjoy eating healthy foods. I would rather be up spinning in the morning at 6:30 am then working at projects till 1-2 am - I have fun during the day and make phone calls and meet, while in the evening I earn an income till I go to sleep. If I change to eight hours sleep I would be missing a lot. My girlfriend worries but my doctor says each individual is different. By the way I do nap for 1/2 hour when I get droopy-eyed and I pull off the road for a similar period if I get sleepy while driving. That probably picks up about an hour per day.
