However, it does not provide solutions when it comes to infants and soy. I have a 10-month old daughter with a suspected milk allergy. From birth to 4 months, she struggled to digest milk (to include breast milk) and could not hold down anything. Then my wife and I put her on Nutramigen formula--the most broken down, non-allergic, easy-to-digest formula for babies out on the market. This worked for 6 months until she started vomiting. After making sure she didn't have a stomach sickness, we continued with Nutramigen only to have her vomit again (over a week after suspected stomach illness). Our pediatrician is leaning towards milk allergy.

So what are the alternatives? For us, Soy is the only one. We are hoping to have her on Soy until we can get her to 1 year of age. Then we will try milk-based formula again (fingers crossed).

In short, even though this was a very informative article, it does not provide solutions for those with infants.
