I quit because of the symptoms, and the symptoms continue. Now I realize that Prozac contains fluroide and perhaps I was poisoned by too much fluoride over time. Whatever, it is unlikely that my symptos are not a result of side effects of Prozac or poisoning. I'm afraid to take any other antidepressant and am trying to live wtih the depression. Not only do I have to dael with the depression but also the side effects that don't go away. This drug did help with depression tremendiously, but I would suggest to anyone to use this drug only short term and only if nothing else could work. Because it is very difficult if not impossible to egt off this drug, it is best not to start it in the first place.

I believed my OB and took Prozac during 2 of my pregnancies. Both of those boys have sensory processing disorder. My other 2 do not.

I have asked on many occasions whether that could be a factor and have never gotten a response.

I'm not trying to blame anyone, just trying to make sense of things. I'd appreciate any thoughts or insight.

What I have recently learned is that I have adrenal fatigue, and have probably had weak adrenals all of my life. I am not recovered yet, I still struggle almost every day but hopefully I have more clues to "why" and what I can do to be healthy.

If you are dealing with these issues please get to a doctor or practitioner who can have you tested. I am convinced that we don't have to live this way, let's find the answers together.

I have been on these for years (all sorts of anti ds, most recent decade or more SSRis) I am on Paxil and cannot get off I have tried and tried. I am now on hydrocortisone and my HPA axis seems to have got worse and worse. I was given the antids when I was having Hashimotos attacks first 3 decades ago and I have been on something for my mind ever since.

I am scared now. I am only 49 but have been on these things for a long long time. My physical health has spiralled down too while I have been taking them. I have had a few good years but the Paxil stopped working properly about 3 or 4 years ago and I cannot withdraw even on tiny bits a week. There doesn't seem to be any help, especially on the NHS in the UK.

This brain damage article has really disturbed me.

God bless allx

I now feel like a drugie on the streets who is hooked. Alot of MD's know this but they still prescribe it. AS you get older you get drugs for every thing that ails you and big pharma loves your money rich or poor. Triying to replace them with natural vitamins and herbs is hard especialy when DR's try to discourage you. I remeber growing up in the 50's no one heard of all this garbage
