Recently, it has come to notice of mycoplasmologists &nbsp;that these organisms are also transmitted from various animals to human and may produce various infections with varied manifestations and outcome. There are at least &nbsp;10 mycoplasmas known to be of zoonotic significance. Mostl transmitted from animals to human but few from human to animals. This dimension of mycoplasmosis has remained unexplored so far, presumably due to unavailability of epidemilogical marker and unavailability of commercial diagnostic kits at clinical laboratories and unawareness of clinicians about zoonotic mycoplasmosis.</p>
