What's more, Eli Lilly admits that Sarafem has the same active ingredient as Prozac, complete with the same</description><dc:language>en</dc:language><generator>CommunityServer 2008.5 SP1 (Build: 31106.3070)</generator><item><title>re: Prozac for PMS?</title><link>http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2001/04/18/prozac-part-two.aspx#207240</link><pubDate>Mon, 20 Jul 2009 06:07:35 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">24451277-a5aa-4add-96dc-64081bfd86fa:207240</guid><dc:creator>roxi2009</dc:creator><description>&lt;p&gt;Well, judging from the tone of this post I &amp;nbsp;now fully understand why woman cannot get any help for their medical issues. &amp;nbsp;PMDD is VERY, VERY real. &amp;nbsp;I know, I lived with it for 38 years of my life and the symptoms didn&amp;#39;t start to let up until I entered menopause two years ago! &amp;nbsp;PMDD was unheard of in my day and PMS and menstrual cramps were &amp;quot;all in my head&amp;quot;. &amp;nbsp;My whole personality changed about 2 weeks before my period. &amp;nbsp;I became not just irritable, but angry, even violent, I had a lack of impulse control, I was promiscuous, every single month it was like a dark cloud came over me and I changed! &amp;nbsp; I also had EVERY symptom listed in your post! &amp;nbsp;When my period came down I was literally in agony for seven days. &amp;nbsp;I couldn&amp;#39;t eat, I was put on very strong pain medication at a very young age (demerol). &amp;nbsp;I was given 4 D&amp;amp;C&amp;#39;s and STILL I continued to suffer! &amp;nbsp;For 3 weeks out of every month I COULD NOT FUNCTION! &amp;nbsp;I couldn&amp;#39;t go to school or hold a job for very long or be a mother to my son or get out of bed! &amp;nbsp;I had to cram all my life into one week every month because that&amp;#39;s the ONLY time I felt normal and I did that for 38 YEARS! &amp;nbsp;I finally went on disability nine years ago! &amp;nbsp;I never had hopes, dreams, goals when I was young--I didn&amp;#39;t dare! &amp;nbsp;I turned to drugs and alcohol for some kind of relief and attemped suicide! &amp;nbsp;The male doctors I went to did NOTHING to help me because they didn&amp;#39;t believe me when I told them what was going on! &amp;nbsp;That&amp;#39;s why to this day you couldn&amp;#39;t PAY me to go to a male doctor, especially a male gyn doctor. &amp;nbsp;You guys got all the book learning but you have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what a woman can go through each month and you really don&amp;#39;t care! &amp;nbsp;You proved that when you wrote that woman can &amp;quot;mistake&amp;quot; pregnancy for PMS! &amp;nbsp;That statement is ridiculous and condescending! &amp;nbsp;I damn sure always knew when I was SUFFERING and when I was PREGNANT and would never confuse the two! &amp;nbsp;Doctors with attitudes like you are the reason woman have to suffer so much for so long!&lt;/p&gt;
