It is a translation from German so the grammar is not terrific in some areas. The sensation persisted the next day and now was uncomfortable. I decided to fast, and after another day the situation worsened and was painful. I continued the fast to no avail, and decide to adminster an enema. The pain increased with no relief.I broke the fast, and ate but the pain persisted with greater intensity. Somewhere between the third and fourth day, something inspired me to eat a pearl of garlic.

The results were instantaneous. The pain disappeared, but only briefly.I ate another pearl and the pain disappeared again.

This continued for the next few days, relief after eating the garlic--- but pain returning each day with more intensity.I was eating about 10 garlic pearls every hour. Finally I decided to see doctor at the local neighborhood clinic. He examined me briefly, gave me some maalox and told me to come back in the morning. That night was hell. Pain that I could not ever remember experiencing. I cried, sang , prayed 'til dawn, then was driven back to the clinic, where the doctor after examining me again and this time running a blood test --- directed me to go the emergency room of the nearest hospital.Within a half an hour of arriving, I was scheduled for surgery --- immediately.

What they discovered was a ruptured appendix, peritonitis(sp) and gangerene.

Obviously I survived and was out of the hospital in less than 10 days. Three days with a "NG"(NASAL GASTRIC) tube down my throat, and a minor infection at the drainge site --- more or less were my only "battle scars" from the ordeal.

My non medical opinion is that the "stinking rose"/my beloved cloves of garlic are what slowed the infection and gave me the time to get medical attention.

Needless to say I rarely leave home without "them.

                         E.K.

Should it be swalloed whole or should I chop it up? Thanks. I want to combat H pylori and build up my immune system as well. Going to take acidophilus powder, high dose vitamin c, b6 pyridoxial 5 phosphate 100 mg 2-3x, magnesium citrate, extra virgin olive oil in simple salads, cinnamon, golden seal mastic etc. As well as switcing from my distilled water machine to getting a good water filter (using brita) I didnt realise distilled was not good - which is also a 2nd question I have been pondering on - can distilled water be healed in the sun?
