I have had several tests done at the Ivey Eye Institute in London, ON, and the last one the doctor said I needed to have Visudyne from Novartis injected in my blood. After 10 minutes they shine a cold laser in to seal the bleeding capillaries. This is for wet Age-related Macular Degeneration. They also told me it costs $2300 a treatment and I might need up to 6 treatments, 3 months apart. I have a drug plan at work, but the doctor's office has not supplied a D.I.N., so I can get a pre approval.

Anyway, I will be trying some of Dr. Mercola's suggestions, as it sound more promising and a way cheaper.

How did the injections go? Have you also tried these supplements listed?

Friday, May 9, 2008 upon a routine eye exam at the VA clinic Martinez, CA, the doctor discovered the "beginnings" of what appears to be Macula - degeneration in my right eye. They took several eye photos and showed them to me, especially the signs of MD in my right eye.

I return to that VA clinic tomorrow moring Wed, May 14, 2008 for some kind of inijection to "help stop the progress" of this MD. I hope they explain it to me clearly, as your article is clear, before they inject me with anything.

I'll ask how effective this treatment is etc...
