Likewise is how I view other mental "disorders" such as ADHD. Of course we have all had times of forgetfulness, attention span issues, where we can't remember someone's name we just met, or even someone we know quite well. Many factors interfere with memory, attention and focus such as stress, emotional trauma, diet and the list goes on. ADHD is not supposed to be "diagnosed" unless it has been going on for a long time and interferes with "normal" daily functioning. YES, it does happen and NO these people are not "lazy" or looking for an excuse. I do believe it is misdiagnosed more than being overdiagnosed. I think some kids who could benefit greatly from some kind of intervention are being held back because their parents are not willing to consider ADHD, yet I also can't believe my eyes when I read about 2 year olds being "diagnosed" with the disorder!! What 2 year old DOESN'T have all the symptoms of ADHD...?? What a tragedy!

I am highly interested in learning more about nutrition and ADHD as I believe the world would be a better place if we could get kids off of the dangerous chemicals that are now being used to "treat" these disorders. Thanks Dr Mercola!
