I am 56 and suffered a severe asthma attack last year that almost killed me. I am still have issues; however, had to return to work. I am on Xolair shots now, along with Singular (10 mg) and Advair (500/50). They had me on 60 mg of Predizone which did a real number on me. Now, I have learned that I have osteroporsis in a severe stage, even without showing signs (hump, etc.) and have been told I must get on FORTEO as soon as possible to rebuild my bones. Even being on 50,000 mg of Vit. D did not help as my body is not absorbing it. I recently bought the Vit D spray from Dr. Mercola and have ordered the hanging sun bulbs in hopes the two combined will provide the 'sunshine' I need. I've had abnormal mammograms and must now see a surgeon to determine if there is breast cancer. My whole life I was healthy and used to be a runner. Now I am not even sure who I should believe or what I should believe. I'd like imput from fellow readers - I've read and done many of Dr. Mercola's treatments over the years and find they work or at least help. My husband does not believe this treatment will work. I got asthma at the age of 50 (eight years ago), but I blame it on the mercury amalgams I've had since the age of 15. I'm currently having the fillings removed and replaced with composites, but three left to go at this point. My arthritis vanished after the removal of 3/4s of the amalgams, and my bursitis vanished a few weeks after taking Alpha Lipoic Acid. Now I'm thinking the asthma could be treated with something this simple, if I only knew how (other than staying away from my trigger). I will not take Advair anymore, and the other asthma "medication" with the steroids. Thanks for the info here.
