I have taken estrogen for 7 years and during that time felt it was doing me good. Four months ago I stopped it on the advice of my GP, and went into a period of flushing and very heavy sweating, eventually ending up in coronary care 2 months ago with atrial fibrillation. I have not been well since, my blood pressure is up and I have frequent palpitations, although the flushing is now finally dying down. I have read on the web of other instances where people withdrawing from estrogen have these problems. I am now having enormous problems as the normal procedure of treatment is statins, betablockers and aspirin and I don't want to take any of them but at the same time I have a problem that has to be dealt with. Where in the UK can I get some help?
