She says she can&#39;t taste foods like she use to and therefore, doesn&#39;t have the desire to eat. I read an article saying that elderly who eat alone are at a greater risk of malnutrition, mainly because the desire to cook a nutritious meal for one doesn&#39;t intereste them anymore. I have been trying to find some herbs or supplements that may help improve her ability to taste things better. She does take pain medication for her back which has been deteriorating from osteoporosis. Now I know that this could be causing her to lose her tasting ability. If anyone has suggestions for something that she could take so she can enjoy food again, I would appreciate the input.
