Especially since she had just goten well after spending her first 10 days in the the special care nursery from suffering from a bacterial infection. I do think that there should be individual schedules for every baby, and such a high volume of vaccines before the age of two years is almost ridiculous.

now as i understand, once the kid turns the school age, (s)he must have some kind of record of vaccination to be able to go to school. here's my question: if i get my kid to actually get infected (as my parents did to me, so i wouldn't have it during puberty, adulthood or pregnancy when they can be very dangerous), after that would i be able to send them to school?

The day my son was born the nurse took him for his Hep B shot - which was against my written birth plan - when I was still 'woozy' from my C-section. I wasn't strong enough to stop her and my husband didn't share my strong feelings on this topic at the time so... I now take my family to see a homeopathic doctor and have had EXCELLENT care. Early on in my research, I wavered in my opinion and did have my son vaccinated twice with the DTaP. He hasn't suffered any reactions (that I know of) but won't be vaccinated again - if at all - until he is much older. To answer Kozmo's question - you can usually find individual vaccines from your county health department (at least here in the US). Be prepared for resistance there too, but at least you don't have to deal with your doctor. The health department should be able to order individual vaccines. Make sure you write down the the actual name of the vaccine, the batch number, the date, and any other information you can get about it. I strongly believe in Dr.Mercola's advice in this article, if you do to, stand strong against the bully doctors!! This is your choice and an important one at that!!

Some one please help. I am a mother of two with one on the way. I have vaccinated my 4 year old and didn't know of the harmful effects. I have also partially vaccinated my two year old. Both of my children are healthy and bright, but until now, I have not been educated on the subject and am trying to be a good mother, I want to be educated in whether to vaccinate or not to vaccinate my children. Especially since my new baby is coming in the next couple months. It would be great for someone to reply. Thank you! :)
