He has food allergies that resulted in eczema. After going off the foods not only did he clear up completely and sleep better but after two weeks of detox I couldn't imagine going back to my old way but old habits die hard and when I slowly added bad foods back in, well, I didn't feel so good. I ate bread and then craved sugar, I ate sugar then craved more sugar. I was addicted to these foods and I just can't eat them. When I do I am on an emotional roller coaster of sadness, happiness, sleepiness, energy, etc. It all came and went with what I ate. Food is powerful and people would do well to take what they consume much more seriously. Thanks for a great article Dr. Mercola.

When I am off the gluten, sugar, caffeine, and other foods of this nature I have energy and can think clear, sleep deeper and feel more rested in less time. It is amazing!

The Hauser Diet-Typing has also helped me to see that I need more protein, more fat, and fewer carbs.

My chief concern is that I maintain a balance of carbs and fats, since carbs drive fat storage in the body, if we eat too many of them, or is this just more mis-information? I've never been overweight; never had to watch my calories. I'm 56. OS

Okinawans are the most long lived, healthiest people on earth. If you google "Okinawan diet", they have their own food pyramid geared toward health. They eat 7 to 13 servings of vegetables a day. But, they also eat 7 to 13 servings of noodles, rice, and whole grains too. If what Mercola says concerning grains is true, then how do those people live off of so much whole grains, and beat everyone in the world when it comes to living long and healthy?
