But the "Sheeple" keep on electing rich, elitists (in both parties) to Congress and the Presidency. How many decades do these out of touch sellouts have to "serve" in office anyway? We only have ourselves to blame.

AMEN! THANK GOD we didn't vaccinate our precious newborn. Because he was in NICU for the first four days he missed getting that horrible B vaccine in the hospital. It is scary to approach every school health form, nurse and doctor visits because it is always a brand new battle for us as the first question out of all the automotons mouths is "is he up to date on his vaccines?"

One argument with a nurse practitioner ended with her admitting that the health field feels that parents are more dilligent when their kids are babies to get all the vaccines in, rather than waiting til they get older. It is for the good of the whole population, not the individual child. Frankly, I care about my child more than the so-called "good of the whole".

I have not seen this point brought up yet, but..at the root of all this stuff is MONEY$$$$$!!!!

In my county, the state gives the county $103.00 for each fully vaccinated child. They want the money so they tow the line.

Ignorance is a powerful thing. Some folks refuse to SEE. If they choose one beam of light it sheds light on other things in their darkness and soon the whole reality they have created for themselves is unstable.

They love the darkness rather than the light.

I wish i had known about all this when I had my daughter, she is now 21. I now try my best to inform others, go to video.google.com and in the search type in "In Lies We Trust" for a really eye opening documentary on vaccinations, pick the full movie to watch not the trailers listed. And for some REAL change vote for Ron Paul and encourage everyone you know to do the same. Even if you do not agree with everything he stands for he would get this country headed back in the right direction.

Parents are being bullied by the medical community. My child was diagnosed with a life threatening disability about 13 years ago. We were warned that his immune system was so bad that in order to save his life we had to get him vaccinated. We were young and very ignorant and we went along with it. He had reactions each time. The doctors assured us that it was normal. My son kept getting sicker and sicker. He was put on an adult dose of steriods for about 2 years (for his disease). Nothing helped. After his third hospitalization, the doctors sent him home to die. They said for us to come back after the weekend and that they would do a very invasive procedure to see if he would improve. I went home and found a natural doctor who changed his diet and gave us supplements to help him and suggested that we research vaccinations. He started improving. When we went back for our visit, the doctors were stunned. I thought they would be estactic and want to tell everyone. Instead, we were threatened. They checked our child for bruises, asked him if we hit him. One doctor told us that we were going to kill our child and when that happened, she would see us locked up. She even stated that they could force us to give over our parental rights to them! I begged the head doctor to give us 3 months and if there was no improvement, I would follow their suggestions without question. In 3 months, he had gained weight (something he hadn't been able to do), he showed no signs of ADHD, and his breathing seemed better. The head doctor agreed to allow us to continue with natural therapies, as long as we were closely supervised. The other doctor? She refused to even walk in the room. The one sticking point is vaccinations. They consider it child abuse to not vaccinate. I am forced to lie to them. I have seen too many parents whose children were fine before vaccinations and who aren't now. Have I signed a waiver? Yes. Do I trust that to stop them from taking my child? Not on your life.

I guess I don't so much as have a comment, but a question. My 6 month old went in today for only his 3rd checkup. I have been avoiding the docs office at all costs, so I won't have to discuss this...he is not vaccinated and has not been sick once! I told them today that I have an insurance that says I have to get the shots somewhere else, so to avoid it....well, next time they are going to ask which ones I got....I just don't understand why they are all about this with so many risks.....I would love to think they have my little guys best interest in mind....but do they? I too feel awful for the babies who's parents just don't even do their homework....

Truth is not told, it is realized. That being said, it's comforting knowing there are people that are willing to do their own research and do not believe everything they are told. masonmama, although I am truly horrified that the government presumes to know what is best for all children and sometimes seeks to deprive parents of making medical decisions for their own children, I am also horrified by parents who have allowed they're children to die painful deaths because they "don't believe" in antibiotics or medications and medical care. I personally know a child who nearly died from chicken pox before there was a vaccine, and if her parents had not "believed" in traditional medical care, she would have died of the kidney failure that occurred when the chicken pox virus attacked her renal system. I know another who survived bacterial meningitis without permanent damage thanks to antibiotic administration before the disease raged out of control. There are two sides to every story, and I must say, I've as yet to meet a SINGLE PERSON who has lost a child to a vaccine. Good nutrition and healthy habits go a long way toward ensuring good health, but we are human, disease is going to happen in spite of our best efforts, and sometimes, only traditional medicine is going to be the answer.

What Dr. Mercolla failed to mention is that there are over 1.25 million individuals in the united states infected with Hep B (CDC). He also apparently forgot to mention that the number of new infections each year has decreased from 260,000 in the 1980s to 60,000 which is predictable as the HBV vaccine became available in 1982 (CDC).

As far as the vaccine only being effective in about half the population thats just misleading information. Yes, it is true not everyone who receives a vaccine (from influenza to small pox to hep B) will develop immunity. But then thats not really how vaccines work. They decrease the critical mass of people who can become infected and spread the disease in a community. Thats why its important that everyone is vaccinated. Even for something as benign as the flu. If I get the flu ill be fine. Im a young strapping healthy man but if I take that virus and pass it on to my grandma it could be fatal. This is why all people need be vaccinated not only could it save your life but also the lives of those around you who, because of genetic predispositions, aren't able to develop immunity.

If you want to talk about dirty companies feeding the public bad information for the sake of profit how about this one: leading you to be believe the drug companies are all out to get your money and the doctors don't care about public health. That is, all the doctors accept for Dr M; the messiah that will lead you to the great panacea of $125 pots and pans and raw honey.

The people that develop these vaccines aren't evil. They are ordinary people that care about human welfare. Scientists have familys. They have kids with autism and parents with cancer. Thier research isn't hidden from the public its all available online. If you still don't wanna get vaccinated go ahead and die like they did in the middle ages; diarrhea and respiratory infections are still leading causes of death in parts of the world that haven't been tainted by western medicine.

My understanding is that there unfortunately are circumstances in which you can be forced to vaccinate. I believe that under the "patriot" act, if the government declares an emergency, they can "legally" force you to vaccinate...

spynedr, try talking to some people in their 60's and older. Polio was NOT on the decline when the virus was introduced. Ever hear of the March of Dimes? Franklin D. Roosevelt? He got polio as an adult and did everything he could to help those who also had gotten it, and to help see to it that you don't get it.

Mick-marie, you might want to know that one of the reasons that polio reached out and touched so many people, that the epidemics got bigger and bigger, was because of improved sanitation which reduced whatever low level exposure had given most people resistance before that -- at least enough to prevent epidemics. Your bandwagon has a worn out tire. Do you have any idea what kind of fear people lived in during the first half of the 1900's? Have you lived in any third-world countries riddled with diseases that non-brain-dead people would avoid? Would you want to without protection?
