I've been drinking raw milk from a local dairy which has grass fed milk cows. That and the meat has caused my cholesterol to decline from 245 to 190.

Vegetables are important, but vegans do poorly as they have high rates of osteoperosis and heart disease.

I do not drink any sodas or soft drinks either. However, I wonder what are the best options? I do drink a lot of water and tea (without any sweetener), black tea, rooibos, oolong etc.

Regarding the water, I use RO water and I thought that was ok but now it turns out that it is "dead water" which indeed is true, it has nothing in it. I was wondering about glacier water, any opinions? Glacier water is also supposed to have an ancient texture and very pure but still, it does have some minerals in it. Before my RO period I used to drink waters like Ice Age and Blue Lake Alaska but the RO was cheaper so I changed to that. If anyone has any suggestions.

Regarding teas, it seems that the tea plant somehow accumulates fluorine and stores it so virtually any tea on the market has fluoride in it. Again, any opinions?

I also drink coffee sometimes (again, no sweeteners) and it is the watery type so not too thick. But I like teas better and take them to work too.

I have used NuStevia for several years sparingly. That is about one envelop per day to sweeten my toffee tea, which I make by the half gallon, and on rare occasions with coffee (in which I find I need a whole packet per cup).

I‘ve been eating and drinking a lot of things like veggies, berries, and other food that Dr. Mercola has endorsed as being good for the human body.

I‘ve been doing this for almost 8 years and just turned 60 years old. I look like I‘m 45 years old and feel great. I have not received any flu shots and have not had a cold in 5 years. I got a cold last year and it lasted for 2 days and went away because of the high antioxidants I consume every day.

I know for a fact that if I had not been blessed with Dr. Mercola web site, I would not be living today. I realize he sells products, but some of them are just wonderful, and he is the only one on the net that really cares, I‘m glad he is successful so he is around for a long time.

I have contacted Oprah & Martha Stewart to see if I can go on their program and show the world how to make a berry drink using 7 different berries. I drink 2 to 3 glasses a day. It took a year to perfect the process, but it‘s delicious and I believe is keeping me healthy and alive. I would tell people my name or e-mail, but I‘m afraid it might get out of hand.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Mercola for all the good information.....

Thanks Doc....Joe from St. Louis.

PS I believe if I had known at a young age what I have learned from Dr. Mercola I would have been able to live to be at least 150 years old.....and I‘d bet on that.

I am disappointed cuz I just ordered a 6 pack of something new called Zevia. It's a diet pop sweetened with Stevia. I figured that it would be pretty harmless especially if I only drank it once in a while. Does anyone know anything about this new diet pop? They have a website. Not sure I'm supposed to post it but it's zevia.com Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Before they got them ready for slaughter they died of heart failure, so they decided to use the corn oil for human consumption. So, corn, whether used dried or just the oil, could have some detrimental elements in it. And even cattle fattened on dried corn might be unhealthier than grass fed cattle. Or maybe it is just the fattening that hurts?????

Here is their general conclusion. "They concluded that lots of meat, fried foods and diet soda increase your risk of heart disease" This just isn't so. Red meats get lumped in with fried foods and soda, therefore red meats are bad. What kind of logic is this? That is like saying eat this poison mushroom, and this non poisonous one, but since you are dying, then the non poisonous one is also killing you too. I am always amazed at the perverted logic of these so called researchers. Most of them just don't get it. Red meat, and I know Dr. Mercola will totally disagree, as will most people because they have been programmed to believe red meat is bad, is not bad. Red meat is one very healthy food, and when cooked properly and eaten with sensible carbs like fruits and vegetables, keeping the carbs low and the protein high, red meat supplies not only very important protein that the body needs, it also stabilizes blood sugar. But old ideas die hard in the health field as they do in the medical field. Someone said years ago red meat was bad. That statement has been parroted by virtually everyone in the entire holistic movement. It is a bunch of hogwash. In my practice I have advocated a very high protein diet consisting of LOTS of red meat, and veggies. No sodas, and very little that contains wheat or sugar. My clients respond very fast. Almost any kind of problem is reversed and they become healthy. CARBS do NOT promote optimal health. They are an illusion, and a popular belief. I have been on a very high meat red meat intake for years, and I have perfect numbers all body systems. No blockages, and perfect BP. I don't do anything that mainstream says to do, or what others believe in and do. If the masses believe something is right, check yours and their premises. The masses are rarely right about anything.

I've found this web site, but all it ever seems is that he's trying to sell us something. That, to me, lessens his credentials. In the article entitled, "Diet Soda Now Linked to Heart Disease", which is what caught our attention, dhea1 actually read the article cited and showed that the conclusion about diet soda needed further study. I'm certainly not promoting drinking soda; that's not what this post is about, but it seems Dr. Mercola has an awesome marketing person making up titles for articles that will catch our attention, and then in his comments section, he tries to sell us his book, "Sweet Deception".

I agree with alot of what he says, (and I'm nobody), but I just read all about what he now thinks of eggs, whites and yolks, and whether to cook them or eat them raw, etc., and he was getting blasted for contradicting himself from previous articles. Granted new research brings forth new information, but I wish he'd stop trying to sell on his web site.

 Please inform...

Now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have been so rash in ordering it. Oh well...could it be that bad for an occasional drink?
