I've always been told that aluminum foil would leach into your food. I've always asked restaurants how they bake their potatoes, because many of them will wrap them with foil to bake. I haven't used anti-perspirant for years and am careful with table salt as the aluminum is one of the ingredients to prevent it from clumping. I've been so good in these areas, yet I don't hesitate to drink a CAN of soda. Got to stop that...lol

If someone could address the foil/aluminum baking pan question, it would be greatly appreciated. Many charities who provide food for homeless folks, as well as ones who deliver meals to shut-ins, use foil containers for cooking, storing, and delivering food. I wonder if there is a readily-available alternative. I use foil myself - very handy for putting toast under the broiler, etc.

Sounds dangerous to me, if drinking out of aluminum cans is not recommended. Try using a clay pot and soaking it right after cooking.

What about aliminium FOIL? Is it safe to use when cooking? I wrap salmon steaks in aluminium foil to bake them with olive oil and black pepper. Is this also dangerous?
