I was THRILLED when my GI doctor advised me of the function test results and then right away said that removal is a very dicey option and not to be taken lightly. He said that not many people feel better afterwards, some feel worse and some feel the same. There can also be very serious complications involved with surgery. I mentioned that at least I know what the problem is now, and I will go and see a naturopath. He smiled, nodded and said " quite a few patients have had good results with that.".....I was so worried that he would have me on the next operating table......

The mentality out there is changing....slowly...but it IS changing!!! Food is medicine.

I went to the ER last week with chest pain and left very upset because I had terrible pain for 64 hours in my upper right and left side of my chest, arm and neck and all they told me was that my heart was fine (thank goodness) and to check in with my primary care physician, so I did. My primary care wants me to have my gallbladder ultrasound and I told him that I didn't think I needed that because I know that if I go and if they see one stone they'll want to take it out. I stil have some pain in my chest but he also thinks it could be acid reflux. I only get pain (not as bad as it was last week) around my monthly cycle and he said he can't explain that either. I've been eating raw beets, drinking 100 oz or RO water and have taken myself off sugar and flour again. Does anyone know why I would be having acid reflux symptoms once a month even if I've been watching my diet and know it's not diet i.e. the chocolate or junk some women eat around their cycle?

Thank you very much for your comments. My daughter (who just turned 23) just gave birth by cesarean to her second child a month ago and now today is scheduled for emergency surgery to have her gall bladder removed. She has had abdominal pain and discomfort for at least 5 years and the doctors repeatedly tell her that everything is ok...WHY was this not discovered before she must go under the knife again and now being so young to have to change her entire diet forever...this is just sad. I am a vegetarian and also do not eat dairy or sugar, dairy or white flour and only have whole wheat flour twice/month-could my diet benefit her? I only drink water also...
