I believe it also has a lot to do with the fact that people are given same day surgeries, mostly for insurance purposes, when in my opinion, they need to stay in the hospital for a day or more. There are risks involved with every type of surgery and I believe the general public are not aware of these dangers they put themselves into. I also believe &amp;quot;you can never be too informed concerning your health&amp;quot;, there is no such thing as a stupid question in your health issues. If you have not been prescribed a medicine in the past and now the doctor wants you to take the new medicine; question him or her thoroughly. You have the right to know why and what for, never take the doctor&amp;#39;s &amp;quot;word for it&amp;quot;. In this day and age we must question our professionals. In my opinion, they are too busy herding us through medical procedures to pay any good attention to our allergies, particular needs, or concerns. It is all big business to them.&lt;/p&gt;
