When thimerosal was taken out of most vaccines, the rate of autism stayed the same according to the information that I've researched myself. Thimerosal is not mercury. I'm not saying that it can't be harmful to a few people. The federal government knows mercury can be harmful. It would never allow mercury to be in a vaccine. They don't like law-suits. It's a matter of who you want to believe and some common sense.

Why are we still debating this? Dr. Blaylock claims that neuroscience shows us that Autism spectrum disorder is caused by a combination of vaccine ingredients and excitotoxins, causing inflammation and damaging various parts of the brain, depending upon circumstances. Mercury is not the culprit, it is a fall guy to take attention away from the real culprits.

Vaccines, besides never having been shown to have any benefit, cause reactions in brain chemistry that then lead to damaging the brain. The inflammation caused by excitotoxins can last for decades. Proper nutition and supplements is required to reverse this.

I have found just as much information on why you SHOULD vaccinate your child(ren) as I have on why you SHOULD NOT vaccinate your child(ren). From a mother's perspective, ANYTHING that can keep your child(ren) safe and healthy makes perfect sense...until it comes to vaccines. My daughter is approaching 6 mths and I'm more confused than ever. She has not received any vaccines yet and I haven't decided if she will at all. The same is true if I choose TO vaccinate or NOT to vaccinate. Either way I could be saving her life or quality of life or I could be exposing her to dangerous or deadly chemicals and diseases. My child is the most precious and important thing in the world to me. This decision will in some way affect her for the rest of her life. It is disturbing to know that so many parents, as well as health care professionals, don't realize that this is the single most important decision you will ever make for your child(ren). What are parents to do?

Secondly, If I choose NOT to vaccinate, what are my alternative options to keep my child safe and healthy???

I wanted to add that not only your children suffer from vaccinations, but so do your pets. I very seldom gets shots for my dogs, only when forced to, such as having to cross the border. I do get parvo shots for them as pups, but then nothing else if I can help it. I've never had a problem with my dogs health because of the lack of shots. Saves a fortune at the vets, and the Big Pharma loses money!

I know it's hard to change your mind after years of believing that the "doctor" is right. My husband has avoided doctors for years, and it turns out that he is right. How many times has your doctor given you a prescription for antibiotics for a virus? I've had many do this. I no longer accept them or I just don't fill them. I had a tumor removed from my back some years ago and while in the hospital (had to learn to walk again) they had me on all sorts of meds. When I was more mentally alert I asked what they were all for and after the explanation I said I didn't want any of them anymore. I got out of the hospital a couple of weeks later and they handed me some prescriptions. I went to the desk and asked what they were for. They were for all the drugs that I'd already stopped taking. I'd swear some doctors would give you a prescription for a hangnail.

I have done lots of research and tried lots of vitamins and alternative therapies over the years. I'm a big believer in Dr. Mercola and I am always ready to learn about new (or old) ways to stay healthy. I don't believer vaccinations are good for you, especially if they have mercury in them. But how do you know for sure if they took them out. Who's word are you listening to???

I'm very near retirement and am on no meds and neither is my husband. I think we're doing well, thanks to Dr. Mercola and lots of research. Good luck to you all in your search for the truth!

Anyone that read the Robert F. Kennedy Article in Rolling Stone (not the edited shortened one on the web today) knows that the agencies responsible for 'protecting' the public have clearly stated in their "secret meeting" minutes in Norcross, GA, that they were going to work together with big Pharma to provide a disinformation campaign to remove any information that linked Vaccinations with Autism. Further, the data they had was to be given to a private company so that freedom of information act requests could not be honored. So what does that mean? It means that anyone who read the article has been waiting for the disinformation to begin, and alas, it has.

I have a family member whose child now has autism, it was diagnosed at age 3, and it the mother noted a change in behavior after a vaccine that she was told was manditory. I am convinced that these vaccines are in large part not needed in young children especially at birth befor leaving the hospital. Many are told they have to get them, when in fact they do not. Somebody needs to sell vaccines and who would be more vulnerable than a new mother trying to provide the best for her child.

I am now officially confused. The study I read said that mercury was removed from the vaccines in California several years ago, and still autism rates rose higher. This is anecdotal evidence, but it sounds like someone is saying that report is not to be believed because it was funded by big pharma? Could someone please clarify? That was not my understanding of the report.

Thanks Yoolie for readng my post and believing I may have been mis-understood in my comments to Renaissance Man on the comparision to Dr. Mercola selling cell phone ear pieces and the concern that drug companies might knowingly be promoting a dangerous product. I think there are several others out there that may have mis-read that post - so far, no one else is giving me an explanation as to why it was perceived negative - oh well, I must move on. I think I have "tried to understand" now want to be understood"...

Here in the UK, the authorities forcefully maintain that Thimerosal is harmless because it contains ethyl mercury which they say is naturally detoxed by the body over a short space of time - as opposed to methyl mercury (as from fish) which hangs about. Do you have evidence in the US to support this UK claim?

Please please please quit with the vaccines and autism thing! My child is 4, never had a vaccine, never ate fish/shellfish/tuna, etc and still developed autism and sensory disorders! When they tested his metals he was way below average on the bad ones. Besides, thimerisol has been removed from all the childhood vaccines including the flu shot (avail thimerisol free) since he was born. And all the old vaccines "still in the system" have since expired.. I vaccinated his younger brother and he didn't develop autism. Go figure. I'd lend more credit to the EMR theory than the mercury theory. Stop clogging the pipes with the vaccination issue and find the REAL environmental issue already.

Wow - am I missing something? I don't understand why I got -30 points in my comments on Doctor Mercola selling cell phone head sets and the cell phone connection to autism. I still have to believe that the money Doctor Mercola might make on ear phone head sets must be limited in what he expends in providing all of us the information he does through this site?
