NO MORE!! that was my last taste of any artificial sweetener. I only pray that i begin to feel better as others have, I will update in 2 weeks or so to see. That seems to be when everyone started to really feel normal again. thanks for the eye opener and showing me that i may not be dying!

Where is the proof? With all the other substances they intake, how did they come up with splenda as the culprit?

Anecdotal evidence, which iswhat all that the above testimonials are, is worth nothing and can actually be harmful. How many children have died because their parents, fearing autism due to some idiot actress's claims, refused to have them immunized ?

The headaches would come on gradually, at first, now they happen with in 24 hours. I am checking contents on labels. I can not do this for homemade items. Splenda taste great, so the old saying is 'if it taste good it must be bad for you' is true. If you have info on splenda based headaches, please send reply.

I honestly felt "if this is the quality of life at 45 years of age...then just shoot me now" Well,

I did not listen to my HMO-MD...she just wanted to put me on medication, I found a "nutritionist" and long story short~I am healed! YES.. I was infected with YEAST!

In my intestines etc...you can get better but you have to be proactive. SUGAR can hurt you! I have since found SUSTA, an all natural sweetner, with Green Tea, Pro Biotios,

Fiber and the best...it tastes good!! My daughter started using it and her face cleared up from minor acne..now I don't know if the SUSTA did it but she swears by it too!

A friend of my mine offered it to me, the only bad thing is that its not iin stores yet..supposed to be soon but they have it availi on line which is how I get it. I heard

they have a smoothie out too with SUSTA as the sweetner. Wondering if anyone has tried it ??

Well...STOP with the artificial sweetners...they are hurting you!! I know..I lived it and thankfully I am better!

Plus a case of diet pop every two days...I was also always thirsty! Anyway, after understanding what a poison ( ant poison!!! yuck) this I have takenit out of my diet...and I feel like soo bad! My head and eyes are throbbing, concentrationis difficult and I am suffering from numerous aches in pains in my back and joints, IS THIS DETOX??? I FEEL LIKE CRAP!!! I am drinking WATER and eating much better....but I feel so bad. If I have had severe splenda poisining,is this why I feel so so bad?? I am getting sharp shooting pains in my head and eyes, too. Has anyone experienced this??? Thank you

After I had my baby, I was tired a lot, unable to focus, sometimes dizzy, and very sluggish. Again, i chalked it up to the demanding schedule of having a newborn. At this time I was having splenda-sweetened yogurt in the morning, two cups of coffee with two packets splenda in each. In the afternoon I would feel I needed a pick me up, so I went to get a diet pepsi, also flavored by splenda.

Well nine months later, with daughter sleeping through the night and sleeping fine myself, I still felt that way. I didn't think it was right. I got bloodwork done and everything was normal. I did some research of my symptoms online. I decided to cut it out. Wow! Within a few days I felt great, I thought, "this is what it feels like to be normal again!"

Well, fast-forward to this past Sunday. I went to visit a family friend who had baked a pie for us. I had two peices because it was so delicious. Immediately I felt so tired and then that night I felt like I was going to faint, short of breath, shaky and anxious. I asked my mom to find out if our friend used splenda and sure enough, she had been diagnosed with diabetes recently and used splenda instead of sugar. She had always used regualr sugar and baked everything from scratch, so I just didn't think she'd do anything different this time.

Now, two days later, on Tuesday, I still don't feel entirely normal. My head is still a little fuzzy, I have a headache, and still feel a little tight in the chest, but not like I did the ther night, and am feeling better.

It just confirms to me, that my body and Splenda defnitely do not get along!

Thanks,

I thought I would join my husband in his weight loss program (Dr. Oz's & Roisen's YOU ON A DIET). even though he had much more to lose than I. I began drinking RC Diet about the time my husband was in for a cardioversion for his A-fib. 4 days. About the time he was released to go home, after 4 days, I was amazed at my very low bp (for me: 108/71). I had mild but frequent dizzy spells. Long story, short: in another 10 days, after having continued the Splenda in everything from coffee sweetener to soft drinks, the dizziness was worse, the lack of energy was noticeable, but the increasingly painful headaches and dark mood (depression?) was finally really getting my attention! 2 days after discontinuing that horrible stuff, I can still taste the bitterness of it in my mouth, but my mood has improved, the relentless headache has finally stopped and I am SO GLAD I found Dr. Mercola and this forum!! How very sad that only the savvy, curious consumer has a change in this country! Too bad. ~ Librarygal59

Over the past year and a half to 2 years my family has been on Splenda. I was consuming the stuff all day everyday & not even knowing it. I workout about 6 days a week & started having problems with digestion. For some reason I was retaining water and irregular bowel movements. I hadn't seen anything like this. Especially when I have been eating extremely healthy. Losing weight was impossible and I was working hard. Then my wife explained to me that she couldn't sleep because her legs were very restless. They would keep her up all night long. She had very bad digestion problems and was sick all the time. In fact in the last 3 months she has had a bladder infection, and strep throat 3 times. She had major headaches and was just tired all the time. She had the diarrhea after as well and this isn't even the worst of it. My 7 year son was hospitalized and has been placed on oxygen because of the Splenda (we didn't know at the time of course). Last February he was diagnosed with Barrter's Syndrome. That's where the kidneys are not working properly. Kidneys were kicking out the potassium and our son Noah was having heart problems because the potassium was so low. No one could figure it out. Kidneys weren't working, heart was having major problems (they wanted to do surgery), lungs weren't working. In a span of 60 seconds his oxygen dropped from (on oxygen) 98% to (off oxygen) 61% and then they put him back on the oxygen. It was in the Motrin the docs were giving my son as well. No one had a clue. We had it in yogurt, juice, diet coke product, snack bars, ice cream, everything. Come to find out I was consuming it in my protein and meal replacement drinks before & after workouts. My bars mid day and my protein a couple of hours before bed. That was on top of the other items listed above. With the help of this site he is slowly getting better. Kidneys are normal again a few weeks later. Thanks for listening, Jarad Rivera, Colorado
