Bacteria, fungus, viral patterns do not cause disease. A bacterial/viral/fungal friendly biological terrain encourages growth and proliferation of the above, which then causes the symptoms of what the medical profession terms 'disease.' An alkaline body is hostile to these pathogens and therefore tends to be consistently healthy.

Dr Hahnemann (homeopathy) who was famous before and after the 1890's wrote long before this in his Organon of Medicine that a stronger disease will suppress a weaker disease for its duration. So in this case, the bacterial disease moves in, suppresses the cancer for its duration, then when the patient recovers from the bacterial disease, the cancer will return sooner or later. Lots of people used his ideas without attribution like Pasteur, etc and obviously Coley.

I seem to remember from several year ago that a researcher showed that cancer cells died at around 108 F while the same but non-cancerous cells did not show severe stress until 112 F. This was all done in the test tube as I recall.

My Mother tells me that when she was younger, she took a potion called Antigen B. Different Antigens sured different diseases. The Antigen B potion was for arthritis. My grandfather bought the whole regime for my Grandmother, my Aunt and my Mother, all of whom had arthritis. My grandmother couldn't lift her arm above shoulder height, my Aunt was almost crippled and my mother was only feeling the beginning effects. After taking Antigen B, all the arthritis disappeared, my Grandmother was able to brush her hair 'til the day she died at the age of 86, my aunt was flexible with no sign when she died a few years ago and my 76 year old Mother has had only hints of arthritis. My Mother who was a nurse until 20 years ago tells me that the potion had all sorts of "coccus" germs and other "like" substances in it and this was routinely available from the local chemist up until the "60's" at which time is was withdrawn from sale. Was this because it cured too many people or because in a very few people who had compromised immune systems their bodies couldn't cope with this concoction?

I believe this study to be totally manipulated.

Cancer tumors are full of bacteria and virus and are a focus of infection. IN fact there is almost nothing more dirty and infectious than a cancer tumor. This idea that a cancer tumor is just a bunch of growing cancer cells is totally flawed. A cancer tumor is full of bacteria, parasites and viruses.

All these scientific studies are totally manipulated...How do you know which studies support? They are all being paid by pharmaceutical companies.

Whenever I have a cold or flu (which is extremely rare these days), I always feel so much better. It seems to make me stronger and speed up the healing of my nervous system from those psychiatric drug withdrawals. The problem is I don't get sick anymore, and I don't know why. I actually wish I would catch something. Maybe that's why I don't.

I am currently battling (successfully) advanced spinal cancer, diagnosed after an MRI a year and a half ago. I first learned of "Coley's Toxins" from one of a number of excellent books by Ralph W. Moss called "Cancer Therapy". What was so interesting to me about Coley is that his concept didn't spark continuing research in that same vein until much later. The nutritionist Dr. Aajonus Vonderplanitz who is currently saving my life, has understood that bacteria are not the horrible threat that we've been taught they are. I am eating an all raw diet which is loaded with bacteria--undisturbed by heat or anything else that would kill them off. Factually I have had more cold and flu symptoms, more vomiting, diarrhea, ear infections and fevers, than I can recall since I was a small child. After each of the many episodes and in between them, I feel full of energy, and in good spirits. It seems like with the lost battles, I am actually winning the war. Really, I am thriving! I have read somewhere that if you get a very serious disease that force your immune system into turbo-mode and results in extreme fever the immune system will also suppress cancer tumours at the same time. I think I read about a cancer patient who was infected with cholera and whose cancer vanished together with the cholera. Not something to recommend as the risks from dying by the disease are significant.

Dr William B Coley created a solution of “defused” streptococci and injected this solution, which acquired the name “Coley’s Toxin”, into Cancer Patients. His daughter, in an analysis of 896 successful cases, demonstrated that there actually was something in Coley’s Toxin that worked against Cancer. It appeared to be a Mechanism that was stimulated by various bacteria.

Even though Dr Coley’s work was discovered one hundred years ago, it was more than twenty years ago that Professor Lloyd Old, of the Sloan-Kettering Institute in New York , actually clarified the mechanism, which some bacteria produce substances that stimulate the “macrophages” (large scavenger cells) to liberate a factor which attacks Cancer Cells and destroys them. In the traditional Eastern health care mode (wellness care) is about keeping the body balanced, toxin free, hydrated and alkaline.....the aim to not create a rubbish heap for the flies and maggots to feed on.

In the Western tradition (of this century) its about allowing, in fact encouraging the building rubbish heaps then declaring war on the flies and maggots, blaming them for the mess.

I am interested to hear more about using fasting as a cancer cure.... My understanding is that the body will rid its self of all unneeded cells first. Also perhaps controlled heating of the body, an Indian sweat lodge style experience, seems to me it couldn't hurt.

I am already convinced of the power of emotional detoxing by means of EFT, TFT, hypnotherapy, in fact any cellular memory release method. I have seen it in action for myself.

All these things combined could result in a success rate would be huge!

I thought it was Raymond Rife who was supposed to have isolated a cancer *virus* back in 1920. According to one article I saw, Virginia Livingston is often given the credit for identifying the organism which causes human cancer, and renamed it "Progenitor Cryptocides". The article goes on to say that Royal Rife was never even mentioned in her paper, even though she became a frequent visitor to his lab.

Fungi may have a role to play in the study of cancer, but I have yet to see that fungi is the cause of cancer. Fungi does alter the break down of chemicals (hence, the metabolite) and the metabolites tend to be more toxic than the actual chemical compound. But, fungi are not alone in its contribution. If they were, it is doubtful that the mammalian world would have come as far as it has since evolution. This is because fungi have been on the planet long before animals and people. And, without fungi to breakdown wastes, there would be no room for wasteful humans. ;-)

In the preamble to the IARC Monographs, number 10 relates to Other data relevant to an evaluation of carcinogenicity and its mechanisms.

The last four paragraphs read:

**When available, data relevant to mechanisms of carcinogenesis that do not involve structural changes at the level of the gene are also described.

The adequacy of epidemiological studies of reproductive outcome and genetic and related effects in humans is evaluated by the same criteria as are applied to epidemiological studies of cancer.

Structure-activity relationships that may be relevant to an evaluation of the carcinogenicity of an agent are also described.

For biological agents-viruses, bacteria and parasites-other data relevant to carcinogenicity include descriptions of the pathology of infection, molecular biology (integration and expression of viruses, and any genetic alterations seen in human tumours) and other observations, which might include cellular and tissue responses to infection, immune response and the presence of tumour markers.

The scientific/medical community worldwide is still unfolding with a better understanding of how cancers develop and why some get them while others don't. Epidemiological studies are a major factor in answering why some acquire cancer, some die from it, while others don't get it at all.

I'm thrilled to have read this article. I am a 40 yr survivor of a very deadly cancer (non-Hodgkins Lymphoma) called riticuleum cell sarcoma & I got healthy doing it the natural way. I left the country & took the Laetrile treatment & Dr. Contreras put me on a very restrictive diet (no sugars, carbs etc) & also told me that any time I could run a fever to do so & to let it run it's course as it was my body's way of healing itself. I took his advice to heart because in the states I was given a 6 mth death sentence. I was loosing ground very quickly & down to 86 lbs by the time I went to Dr Contreras only after 2 mths of battling the disease. Thanks for bringing this article to light. It's so nice to have others who feel like I have for yrs & know that I wasn't just lucky or crazy either one.
