Regular Pepsi contains ingredients such as fructose corn syrup, sugar, artificial colors, phosphoric acid, caffeine and citric acid. I saw this advertised a month or so ago and laughed my socks off. I'm not worried, as 1) humans have been selling liquid swill to their fellow man for many, many centuries and will always sell liquid swill, and 2) anyone who is moronic enough to fall for this industry garbage deserves exactly what they get. I can only feel sorry for the average, uninformed consumer so much.

But we don't care do we? It sure does taste good. After all, that's why we eat candy, ice cream, and drink Starbuck's Mocha Lattes to our heart disease's content

For me, I still consume sugar in my foods and instinctively always ate a protein with it . A couple years ago I greatly reduced the sodas I drank and eliminated colas. Last year I switched to organic Rapadura, Unrefined, and Turbinado sugars. Recently however, I decided to eliminate all corn syrup in all sources, with no other changes to see what happened. I switched to an organic Italian Soda by Organics that I found at Vons, sweetened with sugar at 120 calories per 8 oz.. It's first two ingredients are carbonated water and organic blood orange juice. Yes, I know, it "would be better" to have the raw juice. I immediately lost 5 lbs doing nothing else and my weight has been inching slowly lower. Makes you wonder what is in that Corn Syrup that made such a difference!

The girls at the office actually make fun of me for my health-minded ways. Just today they loosely compared me to David Koresh (geez) for forwarding an article called 'my aspertame experiment'. One of the girls drinks 4-6 cans of Coke Zero per day, and wonders why she has bleeding under her skin!

Preserving our health is simple, but regaining our health once we have lost it is not so easy. We as people need to more proactive about our health, ask questions, and more questions, and if your Doctor tries to make you feel dumb, dump him/her for a new model. There should be no health question off limits when speaking with Doctor, and he/she should be more than willing to give a rational answer.

I'm not saying it's healthy like a bunch of kale would be but I think it's about time that we start seeing HEALTHIER alternatives to what's currently on the market.

As I tell people, I don't know if I would be drinking raw milk with my cow share today if I hadn't started with Horizon organic milk and seen some difference in my allergies over regular milk. I then went from that to a high quality organic milk that was not homogenized and then bought my cow share.

I feel like a broken record (I think I've even said this before in a comment on this site actually) - My point is that I needed some stepping stones to get me to the raw milk. I wasn't even aware of cow shares when I started switching my milk.

People reading Dr. Mercola may be completely aware that Pepsi Raw is still not a healthy product but I'm happy to see companies headed towards some HEALTHIER options for the mass public.

So I was shocked when I read the ingredients in Dr Mercola's coconut energy bars and sugar was one of the ingredients. What's up with that?
