It's all so warped!

I can freely get all the deadly drugs I want with a prescription.

I can take all the killer cancer treatments with the FDA's blessings!

I can have my body radiated, mutated and poisoned and the government will help pay for it !

But I can't buy raw milk, can't take the Hoxey treatments, can't go to a herbalist or do anything that won't kill me because the FDA says it's unproven and unsafe!

Raw milk lies are based on 19th century public health failings.

Anybody hear about how they are now considering using whiskey waste products as cow feed again? It was the Whiskey Dairies that started the whole pasteurization kick in the first place! Cows were never meant to eat waste from whiskey making or grains. They were meant to eat grass.

What boggles my mind is that grass has always been cheaper than grainfeed, so why are livestock feed expensive grains? Cows eat more corn than we do!

We need a milk rebellion!

I am furious. I wrote to a company about their product and they handed me this BS back:

Thank you for contacting Next Proteins regarding the use of Bovine

Growth Hormone. BST- (Bovine Somatotropin Hormone or Bovine Growth

Hormone) is a natural hormone that is given to older cows to boost the

level of this hormone within the natural range. About 50% of dairies

use milk from cows that have been treated with BST. Milk naturally

contains a trace level of BST, which does not change regardless of

whether or not the animal has received supplemental BST. Furthermore,

heat treatment under pasteurization conditions inactivates 90% of the

BST in milk. As a result, whey protein concentrate, which is

pasteurized during production, will contain only trace levels, if any,

of denatured BST.

Also, any BST that may be present in consumed whey would not be absorbed

in its original form. It is hydrolyzed like any other protein into

single amino acids and oligopeptides by protease enzymes in the stomach

and small intestine. Only human somatotropin is active in humans and

BST has no biological effects in humans even if injected directly into

the body. The cows and the manufacturing facility that we produce our

whey from, is located in the United Sates.

Why isn't the time and effort from all of you being put toward something of value instead of continuing to move the dirt pile around on 'hormones in milk'? Do you not know that all mammal milk contains hormones even the milk you and your kids sucked during breast feeding days? The rbSt given to cows does not increase, change, mutate or otherwise make any chemical compositional change to the milk the cow produces. What is it you don't get? Either put effort into proving your position or get out of the way and let technology feed the world. Though I may long for the day, do you really believe 'farm fresh eggs', 'freshly squeeze milk' (flies and all) and home churned butter is going to feed (save) the world? Why don't you put your gifts and talents into tackling that problem instead of sweating and fretting over where to move the 'dirt pile' today?

Prion protein in milk by Nicola Franscini published in the December 2006 issue of PLoS ONE (Public Library of Science) found prion proteins in Swiss off-the-shelf milk and fresh milk.1 Prions are the cause of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSE), such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in cattle and humans, and Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) in humans. About the same concentration of prion protein was measured for organic farm milk and non-organic farm milk as well as for pasteurized (heating for 30 seconds to 72°C) and ultra-high temperature (UHT) treated (heating for 1–4 seconds to 135°C) milk.1 Prions were also found in the milk of humans, sheep, and goats.

I dare not mention his name, but a past president of a major medical organization ("union") for many years turned to religion in his later retirement years. He had great fears about dying, knowing that he caused the death and suffering of many people. He said to a close friend of mine, who was a minister/speaker in the church which he attended: "I know my life is ending soon.. my medical degree was bogus, really all those years I was just an enforcer for drug companies, I put out of business any doc/dentist (I can't say which) doing healing without drugs, and "I know that I caused the death and suffering of many thousands of people". He had come to understand that there may actually be a continuation of life beyond the grave, and he was fearful of what might await him. I ask myself if I could find compassion in my heart for such as he. I think that goes to the heart of the issue. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that teaching is found in every major religion.

Does anybody else have the sense that we are not going to get anywhere with political action, with protest letters, with marches etc. Has anyone considered that until we return to Truth, spurning this gross materialism, moral living, integrity and compassion in our daily actions, we are spinning our wheels. Why does nobody else say this? Is it because of fear of being called a religious fanatic? For me that translates into total boycott of processed foods, a mostly raw diet, helping people in any way I can, no TV or movies, no media of any sort - why should I fill my mind with lies, diversions, distractions? Mercola and other carefully selected sources is as close as I come - and living as intense and authentic a spiritual life as I can. I find myself very happy and getting happier and more peaceful and contented. No, I am not doing much to fight the perceived evil around me, except what I find in my own heart and mind - that is the only arena of which I have power to control hopefully eventually.

Greetings to all.

I am very interested in the "terminator seeds" being created as mentioned in the tail end of Dr Mercola's comments, especially after reading the linked article.

I wonder, how could Monsanto possibly get away with using GM to cause crops to fail to reproduce seed, thereby forcing people to buy seed from Monsanto every year, boosting profits yet again?

I would like to suggest a possible scenario, which I believe we need to be prepared for.

Suppose news reports started coming out about some new infection, disease, or genetic mutation affecting crops. Suppose the FDA is "forced" to react by banning use of "contaminated" seed harvested from the affected crops, then ordering that seed can only be planted if it is from an "accredited" supplier at the "forefront" of seed testing and engineering - Monsanto.

All of a sudden, as if black is turned to white, terminator seeds are not a profiteering venture from a greedy company, they are the saviour of the food chain!

I wonder how easy it would be to introduce some "disease" to crops for the purpose of instigating this deception and how easy it would be for a crooked geneticist to create it?

So what do we do?

I believe independent seed testing facilities and scientists need to be prepared, now, to verify the work of companies like Monsanto and to gather the evidence against them of questionable GM practises and quantify their side effects. The evidence can then be used to challenge their activities in the courts and the media. This needs to be done as a matter of course, not just in anticipation of this or any other projected scenario.

I do not know how much of this is already happening or how diffucult it will be, especially in court, but the very presence of these activities should send a clear message to these companies that they cannot get away with greedy practises for long before they are effectively "busted."

Lets all support this independent verification work.

If you do a search on fluoride you will also see these fake sites running that supports the use and safety of fluoride without giving out too much information(very vague about why flouride is considered safe )while plastering pictures on the site with happy dentist with smiling kids.They love the happy people stock photos. If I remember right the makers of Ritalin also got into trouble with their phoney website of concerned mothers of kids with ADD. Of course all the site really was was a big ad for the drug Ritalin under the guise of mothers looking for safe options for their kids. These mothers never existed.The sad part is is that many people use these sites as a way of verifying the safety of such products.

definition: Ignorant-"What everybody is, only on different subjects."--Will Rogers. (Such a wise man!) Most of our world is ignorant, although not from the desire to be. Most are ignorant of food issues because (as mentioned in one section) they 1) don't have the resources to find out 2) don't have the time to find out 3) just plain don't know where to look to find out. But if they have the resources, time and know where to look to find information on food issues, it is usually too expensive for most -- especially those with large families to feed, clothe, insure and shelter. Until we can make these foods available to the general public at a price competitive with the large conglomerates (like Monsanto) who sell the junk -- we will not have a food chain that is either safe or healthful for us as human beings. The 'vote with your pocketbook' motto is nice, but if you can't afford to spend more on the 'good stuff' then what are you to do? Those of us who are educated enough should protest to all of our local government officials and anyone else who might help until we are blue in the face! And if they don't listen...carry signs in conspicuos places telling everyone of their refusal to listen. And even if that doesn't get results...you may have planted a seed in one who will begin to question where their food comes from.

The House of Representatives Agriculture Committee Chairman, Larry Combest (R-TX), named Richard Pombo to head Agriculture's dairy, livestock, and poultry sub-committee. Pombo will have enormous power in chairing this committee. In 1994, the Dairy Committee considered a bill that would label milk and milk products containing the genetically engineered hormone. The Dairy Committee stalled the proposed bill until the 1994 elections. When the 1994 session of Congress expired, the bill died. It was never even voted upon. A subsequent investigation of Pombo revealed that he accepted money directly from Monsanto while voting on a bill that impacted Monsanto's future, and the future of biotechnology.

SEVENTH

Last, but not least. John Ashcroft, Attorney General. The one man out of 535 members of the House of Representatives and the Senate receiving the greatest amount of financial support from Monsanto. He received five times the amount of money as the congressman finishing second.
