By the time I got into the terminal I was having a full blown panic attack and felt like I was going insane. I continued like this for the rest of my trip home, convinced I was going to die before I got there, all the while continuing to eat the Splenda laced candy. It was probably the worst trip of my life! That episope had always troubled me since then, but came to light tonight after reading everyone's posts. I feel a great sense of relief and will be throwing all of the Splenda in the garbage tonight! Hopefuly my Slenda fog will subside soon and I can move on. My thanks to all of you that have shared your stories.

I suffered from Aspartame poisoning before that and quit eating anything with that in it. Since I started consuming Splenda I have noticed a lot of unexplainable symptoms, but I tried to ignore them and get through it. Last year I started to drink flavored water that contained Splenda in additon to the candy and gum that I already consumed. Soon after drinkinking the water it would have an effect on my mood like a high or low blood sugar episode, so I would try to limit my intake of Slenda, I was convinced it was afecting my glucose levels contrary to Spenda's makers. Well just in the last few weeks I have started to drink Pepsi One with Slenda. I noticed I was getting back some of the symptoms I remembered from the Aspertame, so I tried to be more concious of what I was eating and drinking and my new symptoms ( chest pain, bloated stomach, kidney pain, numbness on my left side, and disturbing pains in my head, vision trouble, severe depression, and two severe panic attacks). Well just a short time earlier I drank another Pepsi One and shortly after that my left side started to go numb again, and it felt like the blood was getting restricted to my head. Now I was convinced it was the Slenda, so I searched it on the internet and found lots of disturbing info, and then found this site. It was comforting to see that there were others with these same symptoms and most were relieved after quitting Slenda. It also gave me an answer to a scary episope I went through a year and a half ago. I bought a car in Texas on ebay and flew down there to pick it up and drive it home. I was pretty excited about it and looked forward to the road trip back to Washington state. For the trip I loaded up on an assortment of bags of sugarless candy (with Splenda), needless to say I ate quite a bit of it (on an empty stomach) by the time I got to Texas. When I got up to get off the plane my head was suddenly in a terrible fog- continued in next

I woke up Monday with my face swollen as well. I went to the dentist the other day and he thought the combination of the stress that citrus and caffeine can do the same thing. I have stopped eating those items and the symptoms got a little better and he was still concerned. I have been eating Dannon LightnFit Vanilla Yogurt for the last couple of months as well as using SPLENDA in my baking and making smoothies. After reading all these comments, I am now going to stop eating anything with SPLENDA in it. I want to get back to normal.
