In summer 2001 I was treated heavily with Ciproxin and other antibiotics in the USA and Europe against necrotizing fasciitis. Whenever the fasciitis came back, I just used the drugs again, in hospitals intravenously as well. The wonderful surgeon and 18 times treatment in the hyperbaric chamber for 2 hours each time saved my life, but the doctors caring for the infection put me on a combination of Dalacin and Ciproxin as well as Clindamycin.

Thankful for saving my life I thought that after such an infection old age sets in quickly, because I am constantly in pain since then. Spasms all over the body, muscle aches and weak joints. - I never saw a possible connection with the antibiotics.

The doctors ignore my comments about the pain, because I refuse to take pills against it. They think to be in pain is my fault. I resisted Vioxx. Very often I have to use a wheelchair when joining family activities or going shopping.

I have to see, besides the flu vaccination, what kind of antibiotics my husband used in the past. For five years after a flu shot he suffers from polyneuropthy in both legs, reaching now to his hips. All treatments in hospitals or prescribed by neurologists did not help.
