Thank you for this article and the focus on Gandhi.

I would like to clarify that his mission/philosophy was not only his. It was and is based upon 10,000 years of ongoing research in the subtle sciences of enlightenment and health, which is it's by-product. Gandhi was a superb expression of the Vedic culture of Sananta Dharma. in India

He did not stand alone. He stood rooted in the R&D of millions who came before him. He just happens to be well known globally.

How can so many be trained to respond like the main stream media parrots?

If ya don't agree , Ghandi is not putting a gun to your head to make it your mantra......DUH!

The success of Gandhi's non violent methods (and that of his very apt student, King) was based on opposition to a morally anchored opponent. Ultimately, the British (and Americans) could not reconcile themselves to their own immoral behavior. Face an immoral opponent and you will merely be slaughtered. Know your enemy, pick your battles.

What is this silly chemtrail stuff? Don't these people understand condensation in a supersaturated and disturbed environment? Easier to believe in the boogyman?

* I shall not fear anyone on Earth. (Can I fear corporations like Monsanto or the FDA or is that still someone? Do people even run corporations anymore or do corporations run people?)

* I shall fear only God. (To me god is an energy force like lightning or what holds our cells together.)

(I feel like Americans submit to injustice everyday by paying our taxes for genocide, overpriced privatized corporations run by our politicians, and oil profits. (This is probably the big one! What are the truths of our food, water, and air supply? What are chemtrails? Why can I see them over NYC during the summer? Why does our government deny they exist? What are they putting in the air me and my child breathe?)

My first act each and every day will be to praise my God, my Creator for another new day in which to serve Him.

1) I will do this by choosing to love and see each person I meet as God sees and loves them.

2) I will not seek to please people, but only God, not fearing what others may think.

I haven't read all the comments, but it should be said that Ghandi derived his non-violent tactics after reading through the New Testament. Ghandi didn't "throw the baby out with the bath water" - maybe he didn't put his trust in Jesus but he understood His teachings and the amazing truth within. SO many attack Christianity and most have a good reason - abuse and people shoving God down their throats - but don't judge Christianity on the idiotic things the followers do but on the Word of God; on the Bible. I have no idea why this is even in here for health but I am glad it is :-) Oh, and Lively, you are very twisted and all that is wrong with our country.

For health related matters, Mercola is the person I look to for his knowledge and integrity (you also have a pretty good sense of humor!)

For personal/spiritual matters there are at least a handful of people that I resonate with on this level.

But if I had to pick only one, it would be the person whose words over the last ten years have most profoundly changed my life.

That would be Eckhart Tolle. There are so many amazing people writing and reading about enlightenment, I feel that we are living in a special time in history, where more and more people are "awakening", and realizing that this earth, and everything on it is a manifestation of the divine, the one consciousness. We are truly all "one". And, that concept spoke to me in such a deep way as I read "A New Earth".

Only one Man in all of history lived a perfect life AND was risen from the dead. That Man also happened to be God. He was the perfect Sacrifice for us all, atoning for the sins of humanity. (If you haven't yet figured it out, His name is Jesus.) The rest of history is minor details. :-)

This should frost some agates: After reading these posts and from past experience it seems to me that what Christians fear most is being wrong about their belief system. There appears to be a bit of anger and self-righteousness in their statements. Expressing love for others, not so much. I believe that Jesus (not Christ; he was a different person. Do some research) once said: "Every man is my teacher." He taught of peace and love of each other as well. He had a lot of good to say. Kinda like Ghandi. But it doesn't seem he beat down everyone's throat. People were left with a choice. I was raised in a Christian household and have since followed a different path that I find more spiritually refreshing and logical. I take responsibility for my own actions and deal with the consequences as an adult. And I forgive myself as well as others. Another part of this path is tolerance and respect of all religions without telling everyone around me why my choice is the right choice. I have, however, studied many religions and learned from all of them. Funny thing: I can apply the best of each (in my opinion) to my mission statement and never fear burning in Hell. There are some here that seem to take offense at the concept of "Fearing" God. The problem may be a misunderstanding of what "Fear" in proper context actually means.

By "God" I mean the God of the Holy Bible, the ultimate being, the Most High, the Creator, Yaweh, El Elohiym. If you do not align yourself with Him then "Fear" appropriately means to be afraid, in terror, trembling, hiding from, running away from Him screaming with your hair on fire, etc. However, to "Fear" God in the intended sense means to be morally reverent, i.e., recognize and acknowledge the supreme greatness that He is, bow your knee to Him, follow His Way. This is what it means to "Fear" God and it naturally leads to salvation in His Way, that is, His Son Jesus, the Christ.

Gahndi apparently understood this "Fear". Whether or not he recognized the Most High and his Way, the Son, I don't know - perhaps someone else can comment on this.
