I'm sorry but I want to know, why is it that black tea does contain fluoride but green tea doesn't? It is the same tea plant that "accumulates fluoride in itself", as written by Dr. Mercola in an earlier article. It just sounds a little strange.

I drink all kinds of teas, oolong, black with some milk (sterilised at low temp - no raw milk available here, besides the tea makes it hot anyway) and I would hate to stop drinking them for this reason.

i thought green tea had fluoride too, the amount varying depending on where it was grown (china vs. japan, for example).

green tea has a history of making people nauseous or have other allergic reactions. i don't think it's necessarily better. my body personally doesn't like it, it actually finds it quite gross, but my body likes black tea. aren't you supposed to listen to your body? if something is good for you it shouldn't be rejected. i would force myself to drink green tea because i read it was good for you and helped you lose weight. years later i realized that it's just a load of poo like other weight loss plans, and that it tasted bad and i didn't like it so therefore i shouldn't drink it.

that's just me though. i get organic black tea. earl grey. and rooibos. and honeybush. those are quite good.

From internet research I have done, the more prized top 3 tea leaves and buds have the least amount of fluoride. You would think there would be more vitamins and minerals in mature leaves yet the food value charts on the packages of these higher quality teas also showed more vitamins and minerals are present compared to standard more mature leaf teas.

I work with the anthrax vaccine. This article - including the supposed side effects of the vaccine - is a total pile of you know what!!! In my opinion Mercola is completely unethical and will do or say anything for a buck

This is such a frustratingly confusing subject.

Where, exactly, is the fluoride in tea coming from? Does it refer to the water used to steep the tea, or is it in the plant itself? I've been doing a lot of research on fluoride recently, but I'm still a little unclear as to the differences between naturally occurring fluoride (fluorine?) and the bad stuff the government poisons us with. I've been under the assumption that the naturally occurring fluoride/fluorine is not harmful.

Okay, Anthrax is VERY real. Remember the Anthrax scare at the NJ Postal building a few years ago? Well, believe it or not...someone close to me worked there at the time and someone this person knew was infected there. This person couldn't run FAST enough to the doctor to get started on antibiotics....THOSE are what saved this person from a possible infection. Sorry, but I just can't buy the "black tea" crapola...it was a LONG time on antibiotics that saved the life of the guy that got the infection...NOT black tea. I'm not saying that trying black tea won't work...but I sure as heck wouldn't depend on it should another Anthrax scare happen...I'll be the one taking the antibiotics AND drinking the black tea. LOL

One thing not mentioned about vaccines in this article is that they are a possible vector for government/corporate implanted microchips. Researching Fluoride in black tea I came across this from Dr. Weil which contradicts what Dr. Mercola is suggesting, i.e. he suggests drinking green tea rather than black. Now I‘m confused!

Black tea as a general rule does NOT contain fluoride; Oolong tea does. If black tea in general did, green tea would because the only difference is that black tea has been fermented and green tea has not.

This is my biggest problem with Dr. Mercola; he occasionally makes these general statements that are over-generalizations, showing that he has not researched one particular item as thoroughly as he should or thought it through completely.

In general, though, this is a great site.

Colloidal Silver has been proven effective against anthrax. The government knows this and has purchased massive amounts of it to be ready in the event of biological warfare. The drug companies got wind of this and were furious! This is one reason they are trying to get colloidal silver off the market. I'm not talking about the type that made the man blue. I'm talking about silver in the correct particle size that is beneficial to our bodies.
It is good to see that they are finding other natural products that are effective in neutralizing biological warfare germs. It seems to me that it would take a lot of tea, otherwise anyone who drank tea normally wouldn't ever get sick!
