Outside of those studies paid for by the dairy industry? Who remembers why large levels of milk and milk products will not satisfy the human body's need for calcium? Geeze. Dark greens are what the human body needs for most calcium, not stuffing it with an unnatural form of food(another animal's milk).

I am concerned now that I've done myself a vast disservice!

I did spend a lot of time outdoors as a kid, plus 5 yrs in the army - but that was a long while ago. It is a good thing I like to garden, so I am making myself go outdoors more often, even if it is just to wander about the yard. I'm trying to skip wearing sunscreen now too. Despite my "crunchy" leanings, I'd always slathered the stuff (spf50) on without much thought because the idea of melanoma scared me spitless. I'm disgusted that I let the media brainwash me....

I went to a yoga class where they recommend raw food and pranayama. At the end of 15days there is 3 day camp where they awaken the kundalini(and the guruji also "brings it down").

I have heard of 1500 people who are completely cured from this 15 days program. I have personally seen 3 people in my batch get their levels back to normal and they ofcourse avoid sugar, but they are not put in a life threatening situations if they eat sugar once in a while. Their levels also are maintained without medication.

The last batch which my friend attended, had a person who had a sugar count of 500. after a month his levels are normal and the has gone off medication.

According to our guruji diabetes is nothing but an overload. The body reaches a level where it cannot take anymore abuse. All you have to do is release the "load" by going raw and revitilising the body with pranayama and you the body gets back to normal.

Depression and high blood pressure and not diseases at all. it is easily cured by just adjusting your diet and if you go raw for a fortnight or a month all these disease will dissappear.

I cant say much on the other diseases like arthritis etc.

Has any one seen the informational film called Eating?

The primary topic in the film is cholesterol and heart disease.

A Great case is made against animal based foods and their contribution to immune system decline, cancer, and

heart disease. Animal foods (meats, dairy, poultry, fish) are the culprit because they are the only source of cholesterol in the food world. Eliminate animal products in your diet and you reverse heart disease and other ailments. It is purported that introducing cholestreol containing food into your body makes a big mess for your body to clean up, thus weakening your immune system.

Im sure im not doing this film justice, but i am somewhat confused when i read mercola saying:

"To normalize your cholesterol level naturally, these three primary strategies work well 99 percent of the time if properly implemented: daily exercise; eating a low grain, low sugar diet; and, taking a high quality omega-3 supplement."

I'd like deeper explinations.

The solution and prevention is appropriate lifetime Chiropractic care. There is no "Alternative" (or Complementary).

since there is a lag time between the injury and the degeneration (years to decades) most people don't want to bother with prevention or wellness

The MD's claim to have the drugs to "treat" OA and most people believe that silliness
