I tried to get my sister to take supplements for years and she didn't want to. For some reason, she started taking a multivitamin that she got at Cosco's. She said that her hairdresser told her that her hair was getting thicker and had grown faster. She wanted to know what my sister had done. It took her a while to think of why it may have grown thicker. It was probably just the strands of hair got thicker. I have lots of hair but it grows slowly if I am not taking the B vitamins. I have heard that some vitamins are not that good. This vitamin that she took is the Kirkland Brand. It may not help men, but she claimed that it helped her. Adele Davis felt that nutritional deficiencies was one of the reason's for hair loss.

First thought: Why didn't Mercola try it, then, fresh fish!? I had to read further to get the Dr.'s comments. Thank you so much for the laugh, and the comments from the others. I was feeling low before I started reading the Mercola newsletter and was headed for bed (at 3:30pm) until I started laughing and couldn't stop. It cleared my sinuses! How funny! Thanks!

speaking of hair, i began putting coconut oil on my face after i read that it was good for your skin. i also applied vitamin e oil to my face and now about one inch of my hairline is almost black. it's odd looking since i was born blond. which oil turned my hair or could it have been the combination. oh shoot i can't find the question mark on this computor! just kidding! ???

I can't stand April Fool's pranks. They're a waste of time and only amuse the perpetrator, while embarrassing or annoying the hell out of the recipient/victim.

Pennsylvania Crude Oil (as recommended by Edgar Cayce) works for hair growth--I have been using it for about 3-4 months (once a week) and I have more hair than I ever have, I think (I am a 56 year old female and my hair was thinnning badly, especially on the top in the front). I am so happy with the results!

Do a search for emu oil on the internet. There is some evidence that the omega 3, 6 & 9 oils found in emu oil do in fact stimulate hair regrowth.

There was a Swedish scientific study whatchamacallit that said that boiled peach pits broken up, and then smeared on the bald parts (when the pits are cooled.) are effective for growing hair back. I have been chasing my husband around the kitchen for 17 years trying to prove this , I will let you all know if it works as soon as I catch him. (NO, this is not an April's Fool joke..)

I understand that certain researchers have proved that a poultice of 6 onces of minced sardines, 3 oz of crushed roasted garlic, and one cup of Worcestershire sauce, put in a bowl well-mixed and left for one day in the sun. When the fermented mixture is applied to the head in a cheesecloth wrapping, there are specular results. you strap it on the top of your head, using duct tape that goes under your chin, sleep with that on your head for 5 nights in a row. On the 7th day, you find new hair growth that completely covers the area heretofore lacking hair follicles. That new hair continues to grow, without the further application of the poultice, to a full head of thick hair within about 30 to 60 days, depending on the person and sex. The theory, as yet not fully understood, is that that particular poultice make up, after the sunlight fermentation by special sunlight gamma rays not found in artificial light, causes reversal of production of the hair follicle killing DHT, dihydrotestosterone.

I don't know if the joke is on me or not, but I read just the first half of the article before I reacted enthusiastically, not bothering to read the rest of the article til later. You see, I greased my head down with my Carlson's Fish Oil. Why am I not sure if the joke is on me or not? Well, in addition to that great lemon taste, I now have a nice lemon smell.
