And people, like food, are NOT MADE EQUAL, either. I am not speaking of equality or human rights. Asians have a very different profile than Europeans. They also have consumed soy for centuries (fermented) and have adapted to it. They are currently doing a thing in China similar to 'Got Milk'. The horror, heheh, considering how many Chinese are lactose intolerant.

I realize that it is impossible to remove manually every trace of animal fat from the meat, but I am interested in the implications of fat proportional to what can be physically manually removed and trace amounts of animal fat and the CLA amounts that are in trace fat & in dairy products that are raw. I believe that if this was studied, there would be an interesting discovery made about cautious balance of the amount of healthy beneficial trace fat. I'd like to see more studies on the Kosher principle applied to nutrition & health. This would take into account a broad scope of variables that would affect the overall health of the person - not merely one element such as fat content of the meat consumed.

Because people have been eating wrong for a lifetime...they have broken down their organs...and now they can't eat as our Maker intended for us to eat. I did nutritional consultations for 25 years and found that most people can't handle the foods we should be eating...and the wrong foods are setting up people for ill health and an earlier demise. The human race has broken down the organs in the body from simply eating the wrong foods.

Excess protein, excess fat and excess carbs destroy the organs and the body. I learned the hard way...not just with migraines...but with tumors and arthritis. Got rid of every problem, because I was willing to let go of my food addictions. I do believe in the power of prayer...and I asked for guidance. Some great books came into my hands, which changed my life.

Dr. N. W. Walker wrote a number of good books...and I bought them all. He was the only nutritional doctor that I know of who lived almost 110 years. There is another book which just came out recently which has a great deal of beneficial information...The 80 10 10 Diet by Doug Graham, D.C. He recommends 80% natural carbs from fruit and vegetables...and 10% fat from nuts, seeds and

avocado...and surprisingly there is sufficient protein in fruits and vegetables, when you simply eat enough. What is enough? Five to Eight pounds. I am 5'2...weigh 110 lbs and eat 5 lbs daily. the "right" Fruit and vegetables are the best fuel for the human body...they burn clean...leave no residue.

The secret lies in eating enough!

0% Protein/Fat from natural foods, such as, flaxseed, cage-free natural feed eggs, New Zealand Grass Grazed lamb, wild Alaskan Salmon.

Is it not true that cholesterol comes almost exclusively from animal products? I know I read that in more than one place, but since I'm not a scientist I can't swear by it.

Maybe this is just the body being an amazing thing and making the best of what you give it, by figuring out a way to deal with being fed cholesterol laden food.

Colin Campbell. I recommend it to anyone confused about fats, diet, and dietary studies. It covers a huge range of studies and trials, and includes the politics involved when one study seems to disagree with another.

I was taken aback by this book - you will be too! It is the first book I have read which has convinced me to totally change my diet, and I have read plenty. Highly recommended.

If our ancestors (chimps) have roughly 99.7 % of the same DNA as we do, wouldn't it be safe to assume that we should eat the same foods.

The bonobo chimp's (our closest relative) diet consists primarily of fruits and vegetables. I don't think any one on the planet can argue that fuits and vegetables are the healthiest foods on the planet for humans. Fuits are the #1 food source of vitamins on the planet and the #2 source of minerals. Vegetables are the #1 source of minerals and the #2 source of vitamins. Maybe we should be eating more of these.

Where are the high fat metabolic type chimps that need a higher fat diet? Where do they get it from? And how would they know if they needed to eat differently from their different metabolic type chimp buddies.

All animals that are anatomicfally and physiologically alike eat the same types of foods. Cows and horses are designed to eat grass (herbivores). Lions and tigers eat other animals (carnivores). Humans and chimps eat fruits and vegetables.

Maybe there is a metabolic type for hair and eye colour too.

The metabolic type theory (becuase it has not been proven) is still lost on me.

Any thoughts? Welcome for open discussion.

If you combne strach and protein in the same meal you will have enormous difficulty in digesting the fats that may provide CLA.

The potatos require an alkaline stomach and the protein requires and acid stomach. The potatos will digest while the protein dumps into the intestines undigested. The basic cause of gastrointestial disorders.

So, I have been reading all sort of articles and news on this subject for the last 35 years, apart my knowledge as a medical student. As years pass by, it is very clear to me that scientists have not established what the body needs. It is still a mystery. I am told a man needs 2500 calories and woman need 2000 calories. Is it? yes and No. While some people need just 1000 to 1500 calories and some need more than 2500 calories. It all depends on how much exercise one does. The input of calories should be matched by the output. If one does not do any exercise the input should not exceed more than 1500 calories. Otherwise by the time one is 15 yrs old bellies would be popping up like hippos leading to diabetes, B.P and premature death. It makes no difference what one eats as long as one does exercise and looses about 1000 calories per day.

when it comes to the best alternative medicines to take are(after reading many articles) : Omega 3(prevents ventricular fibrillation leading to sudden cardiac arrest and death), green tea providing loads of antioxidents, 3 cloves of garlic if one can tolerate smell(some people cannot tolerate, causes bubbles on the tongue and skin), and colored fruits. Otherwise there is no mantra for very good health other than one's own biological make up of genes passed on by parents evolved over many centuries.

Low fat diets can indeed lead to weight gain, high cholesterol, high triglycerides and low HDL-C. Its all to do with insulin and leptin metabolism, which, if unchecked, will lead to type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease and its complications. Consumption of artificial trans fats, and excessive intake of polyunsaturates from margarines, cooking oils, and bakery products, will undoubtedly impact on our health over the medium-long term. For greater understanding on this subject, l'd recommend Ron Rosedale's book "The Rosedale Diet" and Mary Enig's book "Know Your Fats". See also Ron's articles on this website. They certainly provide plenty of "food for thought".

Did your body tell you? Also can it be that you had migraines because of dehydration?

Your body, more precisely the hormone leptin, should be the guideline when to stop eating. 20-30 grams seems awfully little, but if that is your limit and you feel good with that, that's fine and I'm happy your health improved. However everyone seems to be little different. I eat lots of cheese, nuts, avocados, but overall in moderation, and that's the key. If you eat too little or too much of anything, your body may not like it. I am as healthy as it can be with ideal weight and superb sleep. If we, mammals, ate only fruits over a long periods of time, we wouldn't be able to survive Winters. There is a reason for FAT in life!

re: Natural Trans Fats Actually Have Health Benefits

I only know that there is a limit to the amount of fat that human beings need...and most people eat too much.

I learned the hard way...suffered with excruciating migraines for 30 years...until I gave up all fats for about 4 years. My liver healed and I finally was able to eat some fat without suffering another horrible headache. I was getting four - three day migraine headaches monthly...until I cut out the fat.

This percentage of calories determination for both fat and protein is totally erroneous. The amount of fat that people need in their daily food amount is approximately 20 to 30 grams daily. One tablespoon of olive oil yields 14 grams, one tablespoon of butter 12 grams, two eggs = 12 grams or more. It is very easy to get sufficient fat.

An avocado has 19 grams of fat in half an avocado, nuts contain anywhere from 42 to 75 grams of fat...in 100 grams. I can't eat avocados or nuts without suffering. I haven't had a migraine headache, since 1993...when I learned to average less than 25 grams daily.

Every fruit and every vegetable contains some fat. If one eats enough fruit and vegetables one will obtain sufficient fat. Every time I use eggs or any other animal food...I go over my personal limit. I am very careful, because I like to feel good...and I know that if I eat to much fat I am going to pay for it.
