I've using 35% hydrogen Peroxide in bowl of water to soak wash leaf lettuce and produce for several yrs. Anything wrong with that method Doctor?

I was never healthier than as I was as a kid running barefoot through the country side eating wild fruits and picking stuff out of the garden. Never washed a thing off, and often just ate around the worms, etc. Sunshine, microbs and a near vegetarian diet - plus farm eggs and tons of raw milk - worked to make sure I was only sick 3 times in my life before going off to the Army in 1984 ;)

Of course that is a whole 'nother story, and not a pretty one. We'll just say I'm trying return to those roots as much as possible to regain that health now.

Have tried all but the ozonated water and the salt-lemon recipe, I have settled on the peroxide-vinegar method unless produce is very dirty, then use mild, very diluted, non-detergent soap first.

Also, a reminder to check your water supply, even large urban areas. Well-water, if you do not know the history of the area, check the water and get best filter you can. Older wells can be easily contaminated during work on lines, water level droppage, prior agricultural land use, abandoned chemicals, flooding, etc...

The safest and most inexpensive way to kill all my bacteria on my produce requires me to use a 3% solution of Hydrogen peroxide in one spray bottle and apple cider vinegar in another spray bottle. I alternate spray for spray from each sprayer. You can find info on the internet. when rinsed after spraying, does not leave any lingering taste from either sprayer. It kills, and i can legally say this, 100% of all bacteria, unlike the toxic chemicals which only claim 99.9%. Do not mix the two together as it will be a strong concentration of a poisonous acid, "Asperatic", I think, double check on the info/internet.

A simpler and cheaper alternative to using an ozone (O3) generator is simply to use common hydrogen peroxide. A few ounces of H2O2 added to the soak water essentially works the same as O3, which turns into H2O2 when it reacts with water anyway. A bit of organic soap/detergent always helps too, to address surface contaminates.

I'll stick to my usual methods, since I haven't had a food-borne illness with careful storage, washing, handling, and cooking of my foods, and neither has anybody who has ever eaten what I've prepared. For foods to be eaten raw, I thoroughly scrub what can be scrubbed with mild, soapy water and thoroughly rinse, soak what I can't in the chlorinated city water that comes out of my tap and thoroughly rinse with bottled distilled water (the lesser of two evils in my honest opinion), and cook poultry and hamburger and other chopped or ground meats thoroughly. I am also VERY careful not to cross-contaminate cooked foods and foods to be eaten raw with anything contaminated, such as a plate or cutting board raw meat has been on, or a knife used to cut raw meat. Common sense, you know?

I just KNEW there was an ulterior motive in the spinach scare!!! Lots of money in irradiation. They're always looking for an excuse to ruin our food and weaken us. No wonder almonds have been tasting like cardboard lately!

I have read everyone's posts with great interest but one problem wasn't addressed - it's been my understanding for many years (Adele Davis and others) that vegetables should be washing as quickly as possible to conserve nutrients, Any input?

Barbie and her irradiated almonds. Right. So dont eat them. Actually nothing is lost, if you dont eat almonds, only your health gains.. Almonds contain almondine a plant chemical to which the adrenal glands are allergic. This causes inflammation, allowing the cancer nucleus and cancer complex, when formed in the right sequence and joined, to enter the adrenal glands. you then have there a malignancy. If you are lookng for B17 you have to eat fresh apricot kernels, or yams. Better get on the side of new science and start eliiminating certain foods, chemicals,dyes etc. Which takes us back to the article, If you have Chlorox bleach in your system from the in- house, apartment, office building water-treament, then you will be taking in polonium, cerium, cyanides, grease, benzene etc. all that make up the cancer complex. You must ensure that the water, if chlorinated contains ONLY food grade chlorine, (not the most toxic polluted laundry bleach, with rits radio-active particles; and the cyanides that are deliberately put there to stop pipes rusting.

I have not seen Basic H mentioned. It is made by Shackley (SP?) and is specific for washing food.

Supposed to be safe and natural. Anyone know of this?

This is the moment of full crises people! We all know what the FDA and the Axis of Evil (Medical Industry, Food Industry, Government) are capable of... If they make a law to posion and fry all of our fresh food supply and then label it as Organic and not even tell you what they did (like Almonds), where will we get our food? Time to start forming self sufficient villages and gather all sensible people who still want a real food supply available. End Game is already in play and it seems to me that this poses a great threat to all of our health. Does this reek of the elites 80% population extermination plan anyone?
