What about the fetal monitors that are screwed into the skulls of babies during labor to follow the heartbeat and fetal stress? Not to mention the frequent ultra sounds being offered during every prenatal visit along with portable take home models. If you ask me this is the most barbaric invention yet and would seem to cause more stress. Yet another reason to give birth at home and protect the sanctity of birth.

Thanks, for everything! I did enjoy all of the comments.

i haven't really studied much concerning Alhemizers. ALL I know is that I am concerned about it. Seems I tend to be forgetful at times, or possibly system and information overload as I am thinking about too many things at one time. These comments give me a starting point and elements to ponder and study. If I find anything new and interesting I will let you know.

i also know that I am much better, if I get enough sleep, enough to eat, fruits and vegetables, water, some good meat, ( I like steak and beef). Pasta and bread make me tired.

Seasonal changes are also difficult for me. As I am now waking up with the morning sun ( at 5:30am). I have been thinking about getting a black cloth to hang in the window. Also, I have lived here in Maine for two years now and the tourist seasonal changes are starting to make sense to me. these affect everyone, business owners, and all the employees. The rise and fall of income seems to be of great stress in this part of the country with most of us needing two or three jobs just to keep up with the pace. For me, it would seem to be better to have several jobs in one or two locations (home and work) with seasonal adjustments, than to be driving all over the place, that would be more difficult to keep track of where I was to be and when. I do better when I am busy, and physical type activities help me stay on track. Change of routine is also difficult. So, i just need to stop. and take some breaks. and not really think about anything at all.

Now, I have some house work to do.

I don't think this technology is for the greater good. The way I think of it is that it's freakishly unnatural. To have an implant and be able to control your emotions by a switch. With all these brain pacemakers and hellish human microchipping (I will never be chipped, nor will by friends/family/children) It's starting to turn people into machines (cyborg, human hybrid, whatever).

I agree. The majority of these chronic diseases have to do with metal and chemical toxicity. People needs to stop polluting and stop letting metals be injected into themselves.

The Alzheimer's epidemic is likely caused by electromagnetic and microwave/radiowave fields and is probably increasing in recent years due to the advent of wireless technology. Why is there no mention of that in this article?

These fields cause a buil-up of magnetic iron cystals and other metals in the brain.

Hello Dr. M and fellow Bloggers: The idea if implanting electodes in the brain is not new. Recently, I think on Dr.M''s site, there was talk of being able to send ads directly into your brain from billboards on the hwys!! How about that for making accidents happen??? THis idea came from apsychiatrist I'm convinced, it's just what they need to control people even more efficiently than with Prozac and little purple pills! Have you guys read Aldous Huxley's Brave New World, and Orwell's 1984? If not, do so. And ask your library about books by writers in the 50's amd 60's on behavioral sciences, which Madison Avenue latched on to prompty and with delight, with great success as far as I can see -- super bright lighting in supermarkets, certain bright colors to trigger anxiety which usually prompts people to buy frantically. We evolved living in small groups, all other groups were the enemy. So brightly lighted situations with crowds of people around you, generates anxiety, nervousness. Think of big cities with their brightly lighted stores, masses of people, deadening of many senses so we no longer can easily hear, see, smell, or otherwise sense dangers. Imagine some of the fanatics, lunatics and other antagonistic people figuring out how to trigger pain, hysteria, anxiety, and other negative states. Better than LSD, etc. in the water supply! If you think I am paranoid, check this stuff out for yourselves.

Imagine these electrodes in hospital nurseries, programming babies! These offer no cures and as for the stimulation of memories, these are from your subconscious which is why you are not usually aware of them. Read DIANETICS -- it's secular, not a religious tract. Gaye Leslie

My daughter is using a combination of nutrition, and EEG Neurofeedback to control her seizure disorder. She is completely off medication and has reduced her seizures significantly. Her grades are also improving. There is nothing in or attached to her brain. It is correcting an instability of the brain and allows it to function better. This treatment is also now used for Parkinson's, Autism, PDD, ADHD, Memory Loss, Migraine, Depression, as well as other dysfunctions.

I am so impressed with my daughters results, that I wish others could benefit as well.

I do need to help eliminate metals from her body, as her tests do show she is high, but her seizures need to be controlled before that is done.

I wish I had known this information so that I could have helped my father who had Parkinson's.

We need to all wake up and help to make a changes necessary to eliminate these awful disorders.

I have parkinson's disease and at my last neurological appointment, I was asked if I wanted to have this surgery and I simply answered no. There is no way I plan to have this surgery performed. I currently take only one PD drug - Sinemet - and I hope to be free of it by the end of the year (my goal). I have implemented an all organic diet, removed my "fake" nails, started my dental program of removing all metals, commenced colon hydrotherapy, a body de-tox program, mini-tramp, pure water and de-stressing my life. Hopefully I can get my body to a state where its inherent ability to heal itself with kick in.

www.sotainstruments.com sells a thing called a bio-tuner which does exactly this... only without implanting any electrodes. It attaches to the ear lobes... and it costs about $260... so it's quite affordable.

The man behind the device was Dr Robert Becker a specialist in electronics and functioning of the brain (he designed and sold EEG machines).

In fact all Becker did was reverse engineer some older, much bigger and more expensive machines and turn them into a cigarette packet sized machine which did the same thing.

Apart from improving memory the device is used to treat addictions. Especially narcotics and alcohol. It seems to also be very good for depression.

It works by stimulating endorphin secretion (the feel good chemical)... normalising it.

Wonderful for stress.

PS. Try playing Tetris with and without the machine... managed to double my score while wearing the unit... scores halved when it wasn't on. Repeated the tests a number of times to make sure.

It is easy for people to get the wrong impression about deep brain stimulation. In the right hands, with the correct application, it is a blessing for many people whose quality of life is affected by their medical condition.
