This article insults my intelligence. So there's 10 quotes from Ghandi that are self explanatory, but someone felt it was necessary to elaborate on it further. WHY???

FORGIVE AND LET IT GO -This is Evil advise, as it says that committing an Evil act is Ok. Therefore you are saying that it is OK to do it to you again. INSTEAD - Remember and understand (much harder then forgive and let it go)- this will cause you to understand why and how an act of Evil was committed against you. Therefore if you remember when this person is in the same position you know that they will do it to again, therefore you have time to protect yourself.

Further by understanding why and how this person committed an act of Evil against you. You will be less likely to be victimized in the same manner by anyone in the future.

Legally allowing Confidentially between Lawyer and Client is extremely Evil, as it allows the potential of Evil to be hidden. Thank you Dr Mercola, for this article. I am a big Ghandi 'fan' and honour the slim little man who has had such a powerful influence on the thinking of many people. I want to mention by way of dedication to these principals, a wonderful man by the name of Peter who was a friend and a great community worker, as well as a loving, gentle husband and father to his family. Peter worked 60 hours weeks as the CEO of a day centre for the Intellectually Disabled in our town. He loved his wife, his son, his daughters and all the usual things; what made him stand out was that he was incredibly humble, and would not have understood how people felt lifted up, when he spoke. He worked on a relatively low income, could have earned a huge amount as CEO in other companies but he really CARED for these disabled clients; he would never hear a bad word about anyone - always had a reason for why someone was having a bad day, or why another person was being difficult, and his door was always open for a visitor or colleague no matter how many reports and submissions he would have to finish later at home (which is the stress which probably killed him with a heart attack, aged early 40's last year)... the most amazing man; known at a Regional and State level for his work and amazing wisdom. One of those people who speak so gently and yet everyone stops to listen. In our newspaper memorial we used a Ghandi quote "In a gentle way you can shake the world" - and like Ghandi, he did. It is seen as a great loss when a society is gifted with such a person, which it is, and we often fail to tell them how important they are until its too late. So I'm suggesting that today, if you know someone who espouses the philosophy of living gently and well, please let them know how much you appreciate them. I know Peter's family has grasped the enormity of their loss. I hope that eventually they can grasp the significance of their husband and father as a gift to his friends and our community .

Leaders of nations are a mirror of their people and ensconce the qualities mutually. We have seen this blueprint in our own country for the past eight years, and looking at the future, the downward spiral will continue in the text four years, at least. Though, mavericks like Mercola give hope to the fringe, outside of the corrupt megalith.

Does everything need to be dissected? Does everyone need to put their 2 cents in? Get a grip folks. Take it for what it says and move on. Honestly I think some folks have nothing better to do than complain. Yes, it is nice to be able to comment one way or another but sometimes it is a little disheartening that something so simple and pure needs to be pulled apart. Let it go.

I am so pleased to see you highlight the brilliant philosophy of my favorite role model of all time, Mahatma Gandhi. I often say that Gandhi lived what Jesus taught. As Gandhi (who ALMOST converted to Christianity at one point) pointed out: "The problem with Christianity is the Christians" because Jesus taught love and forgiveness, but Christians still apparently OK with killing, the death penalty and war (not to mention torturing "enemies" and farm animals)!!!

And as for the debate over using the phrase "an eye for an eye" I am certain that Gandhi never meant any disrespect for the Bible. His point is that there is no end to the hostilities when one behaves in that childish manner. Look at it this way... would you want the Iraqis to seek revenge? How about African-Americans? Native Americans? I didn't think so.

If you search on the internet for Gandhi quotes, you will find hundreds and you will see that one of his strengths was his ability to communicate and win hearts and minds. I also recommend you read his autobiography. Do you realize he proved that love and forgiveness work by winning independence for India without any kind of violence, threats or bloodshed. And here we are (close to a hundred years later) bombing babies for peace? That is never going to work!

Getting a bit off subject, but I agree with libertyvalance that 911 was an inside job.

Non believers watch Zietgiest. (On youtube in several parts). No suitable for christians. No doubting that Ghandi was a great man, but there are probably many sides to the story. For starters, the British don't want their evil streak to become common knowledge. Like many others of British roots, I used to believe that we are the good guys. Tell that to the people of Dresden, or Diego Garcia. Churchill was no less a mass murderer than Hitler. But history is written by the winners. BTW, no.2 refers to emotional hurt, not physical. This is true on so many levels.

It’s been said by many that “we don’t see the world as it is, we see the world as we are.” It seems that we don’t see the world, as much as perceive it. We think we’re seeing life, people, events, and situations the way they really are, when what we’re actually doing is interpreting them through the lens of our own feelings, beliefs, knowledge and experience. Because of this, to see the world differently we must, indeed, be the change we want to see in the world.

Another way to look at this is through the lens of the Law of Attraction. As we change ourselves within--what we think and feel, as well as how we see and relate to others and the world--it changes not only how we act and what we receive, but how we look at others and how they look at us.

He is not a spirtual leader, he is a cult leader. There is but one way to salvation and that is through what the Lord Christ Jesus did for us. It is only by Him and through Him that all have the one and only way to salvation. But alas oh so few seek His face and use their free will, that He has given them, to turn to Him. But, Mahatma Gandhi is mentioned in the Word of God, For Jesus said unto them, "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." Gabdhi is just one more deciever. And woe unto those who try to convince us that he is anything but a cult leader and a deciever. For Jesus also had something to say about them: " But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." The Principle that, !"I always reap everything I sow," or "Karma," or "The law of cause and effect," means that I create my own reality, and / or world, and / or universe , by the way I choose to Think and behave. As this is True, then the suggestions above do make sense.

The idea that we make the world a better place by killing and punishing all the bad people, as taught by the bible, is Totally untrue. If I kill a bad person, surely that makes me bad and sometime in the future something similar will happen to me?
