I too was diagnosed hypothyroid, but my only symptom was exhaustion - like you, all the other 'typical' symptoms didn't exist. Thyroid meds did have an effect - within a day or two I was back to normal, but it always puzzled me.

Then I read in 'Eating right for your type' that it may have been more to do with stress at the level of the adrenals. Thyroid meds, by increasing energy, place stress on an already stressed-out system, leading to later problems.

I have abbreviated this to give you a general idea ( there is a lot more to say) but look it up in the book - I got it from my local library. It made a lot of sense to me. and felt right.

Tim Russert was a very good man. He cared about people and he cared about the truth and his family was more important than anything. I feel for his son and his father who will miss him dearly for a long time.

Tim no doubt knew he was at risk, like most people. He was overweight, had a high stress lifestyle, probably didn't exercise or eat the right foods and supplements, and he was probably taking medications, which kill people sooner or later. He probably knew from his doctor and his blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. readings, besides his risk factors what might happen and how soon. Dr. Mercola isn't judging him. We don't know his environmental and genetic history and we are very grateful for the time we had with Tim. We just wish he could have been with us longer. It was probably hardest for his son, but at least that is part of the natural cycle of life. Nobody should die before their father, though.

Everyone is an example. We can learn from what they did right and what they did wrong in order to repeat it or not to repeat it. I just think it is sad that some people here are reacting emotionally to some imagined personal attack on Tim Russert and calling his death fate instead of using the information here to take personal responsibility for their own health and the ones they care about.

re: Can You Avoid a Sudden Death Like Tim Russert`s?

One thing that nobody considers is that it can be a pinched nerve as it exits the brain going past the atlas and axis vertebra. Upper cervical specific doctors can help! this is called the vagus nerve.

This gift can also be used as a preventative.

All kinds of problems have been helped.

depression, diabetes, digestive health, drug addictions of all kinds, heart health, health, ,mental health, migraines, tourette syndrome,www.upcspine.com, AIDS and HIV, click evidence ,scientific study’s ,click HIV and acquired immune Deficiency syndrome. Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, of which Montel Williams was cured of by an atlas orthogonal upper cervical specific doctor. Can be beneficial for there children to prevent problems later in life. This can the brain work better, this can help their body work better to make them be more comfortable to do the exercises. This is good for everyone’s health. Whoever reads this send it to every one! Regardless of the condition they think they have or not. Upper-Cervical Specific Care

This is the best drug-free advice I can give: Go to an upper-cervical specific doctor to get your body in balance physically and neurologically. If you have never gone to such a doctor, you should do it whether you have any symptoms or not. If you go to one before you have an obvious problem you can greatly reduce the chance of ever getting the problems that plague so many other people. Body unbalances can occur at birth and be unnoticed then, while gradually worsening over time, leading to problems possibly years later. They can also occur because of a traumatic event, like a fall or an auto accident. You will be amazed at what upper-cervical specific care can do, but I need to explain further. When people have a balanced spine the body and jaw will be more balanced as well, creating a better bit. So barbaric practices of grinding down the jaw are never done again! Like what was done to Greg Buchanan on www.uppcspine.com

I recently did a stress test and ECG. The doctor stated that if I hadn't told him he would not have realised that I'd had the heart operation or the stents.

1. Hydrogenated/partially hydrogenated oils

Heart attacks are suffered by right handed males and non-viable females.

Cholesterol has nothing whatsoever to do with it.

The liver makes as much LDL cholesterol as the body requires and, guess what folks, it is GOOD cholesterol, not "bad" cholesterol!

The magical ratio of LDL to HDL is only a measure of the efficiency that the lipid waste products from the inter-cellular space are being transported away to the liver to become rejuvenated LDL once more; this is similar to the blood being rich in O2 on the way out to the extremities of the body, only to be returned to the lungs laden with CO2.

The body uses cholesterol in a number of different applications, which include as a base material for the manufacturing of all the hormones and as a temporary repair material to aid in repairing damaged tissue.

The heart attack occurs in the middle of a healing phase in the 'healing crisis' of a 'territorial conflict', which caused the arteries to the heart to be ulcerated (the intima was partially removed to facilitate an increased blood flow to the heart). This Significant Biological Special program (SBS) of Mother Nature has been developed through millions of years of evolution, to enable the male to successfully reclaim his 'territory'. Upon resolution of the 'conflict', the arteries go "under re-construction" of the intima, which needs to be temporaily isolated from the blood stream. This is done with cholesterol! The same as one cannot re-construct a roadway with traffic going over it, the construction site of the arteries has to be protected. Dr. Mercola is partially correct in saying heart attacks are preventable, but the knowledge to do that is known only through Germanic New Medicine according to Dr. med. Ryke Geerd Hamer.

THE HEART ATTACK, PER SE, IS NOT PREVENTABLE, HOWEVER THE FATAL OUTCOME IS !

Glutathione has to be manufactured by the cell itself--eating glutathione pills does not help. The precursors of GSH have to come from our diet. As the first step in educating ourselves on the benefits of glutathione, check out the following site: DrVicky.net

I personally think all three of those markers are much more important than cholesterol and Dr. Mercola has some good info on his website about these markers.

I constantly preach to my clients on both cleaning up their diet, especially in regards to all forms of hydrogenated oils and to either avoid dairy or use consume raw milk only plus load up on Omega-3s and lots of fresh fruit and veggies.

On the supplement front I no longer recommend vitamin supplements but frequently recommend probiotics and if they have digestive problems I also recommend prebiotics. I have found various adaptogens to be of great use in re-educating the immune system and helping to bring the body into homeostasis. I recommend www.MiracleAdaptogens.com for beginner knowledge on adaptogens and you can Google to find some great studies done by the Soviet Union who pioneered research on these unusual plants.

It is my feeling that a properly running body supplied with decent food will extract the needed vitamins and minerals and that if your basic metabolism is screwed up your body will not be able to use vitamin and mineral supplements. So I work with the full metabolism and that is why the various adaptogens are of such importance in my practice. The last 3 years of using this approach has been much more effective than targeted nutritional supplementation.

I suspect Tim Russert was ill served by the conventional medical community and their symptom relieving drugs. The person posting about possible thyroid problems may also have a good point as I see lots of thyroid problems and adrenal exhaustion in many people and Tim Russert's symptoms lend themselves to pointing towards a thyroid problem.

Lots of great posts are on this article!

Research fungul infections like candida and see what you come up with.
