They may digest their food poorly, experience digestive distress, or be generally sickly.
I just read with interest the article about the dangers of chelation therapy. My holistic dentist, in addition to removing my mercury fillings, gave me a liquid zeolite product, ACZ nano, to pull the heavy metal and radiation residue from my tissues, as apparently I am what is known as a "pathological detoxifier." I have been on it for four months and have definitely noticed a great deal of detoxification during this time. Apparently this is a safer form of chelation that I thought your readers might want to know about.

Blessings,

I tried liquid zeolite which did seem to help and symptoms eased. I discontinued use however after reading more about zeolites.

I have tried chlorella with no significant improvement.

I have tried DMSA using Andy Cutlers instructions and have had significant improvement in virtually all symptoms after 3 months of chelating.

I have also had good results with water only fasting several times and would say that water only fasting has probably been as significantly effective as dmsa.

I carefully ensure that chelation is done periodically and maintain a good supply of vitamins and minerals when not chelating.

I would recommend anyone who suffers with heavy metal poisoning to read about andy cutler's protocol.

Some people do not see benefits for several months after starting chelating - it took 3 months for me to see the results properly in that improvements are almost imperceptible when they occur in such continual tiny amounts but after a while the results are plain to see!

I have 4/6 symptoms of chronic heavy metal exposure. :-/ I had two of my amalgam fillings removed several years ago, but two still remain. Last year I had a hair analysis done and my mercury level was just barely in the range of moderate concern-but then again, that's just looking at one element. Taking everything into consideration (other metals, nutrients, hormones, etc) could explain my chronic fatigue among other things.

I went to a Quantum Reflex Analysis practitioner in my area. She tested me and found that I had both a heavy metal and a Interference blocks in my body. The interference blocks were old scars and traumas I've had to my body. The heavy metals was from the different metals the dentist has put into my mouth! And, people have been shown to have memory difficulties after having metal crowns, bridgework, etc put into their mouths!

You can find a QRA practitioner in your area by going to Healthline.cc. The herbs they use to treat you, you cannot find better supplements on the market. Grade 10 herbs, the only company in the states to import grade 10 (I heard Deepok Chopra imports only Grade 3)

Since receiving breast implants in 1980 I have been increasingly ill. I had revision and removal of capsular contractions in 1982 and complete removal of the implants in that same year. Despite having the implants for only 2 1/2 years, my life changed completely from that of being a slim, healthy, sports orientated and very active young woman of 30, to that of an increasing invalid, so that I had to retire from my work as a college lecturer in 2005 at 54, chronically disabled.

Since my retirement I have time to thoroughly research and try to understand my musculo-skeletal & neurological symptoms that led to carpal tunnel surgery twice in 2003 and major back surgery in 2005.The back surgery was undertaken as a last resort to deal with a very complex set of neurologic complaints which I believe go back to the breast surgery. These symptoms have worsened and in many ways their progression has accelerated since the back surgery.

I have constant pain, rashes on my arms almost all the time, which bleed at times; smelling and tasting of metal. I can taste metal in my mouth at all times also. My neurological symptoms have also got worse; my memory is unsound, I forget what I'm saying at times and can't finish a sentence. I am afraid that constant severe pain and a spine that feels collapsed since surgery, has completely ruined my life.

My neuro-surgeon does not recognise that there may be a link between my failed breast surgery and my failed spinal surgery which both entailed foreign implants into my body ( Although the breast implants were removed, I stil have metal nuts, bolts and screws in my back). My surgeon is offering more spinal surgery to my neck without clarifying and explaining why my symptoms should have become worse since my lumbar surgery. My GP and skin consultant are offering phychiatric help only. I believe I may have toxic levels of platinum and silicone; as well as unknown metal in my body. Can you help? Sandra

It would be far more valuable to provide some information and ideally some statistics about which heavy metal detox programs have worked well for the majority of people.

How many of the 25 people who "voted" a thumbs up for this article actually downloaded the very long pdf file from the original article by Drs. Daniel and Knight and read thru to nearly the end where they do give a suggestion for a cleanse that is both easy and inexpensive? (It involves bentonite clay and similar natural substances, similar to Dr. Shulze's intestional cleanse).

If you read the posting carefully, you will see that there is not even a clue as to what kind of programs are being used in the clinic posting the comment.

It may well be that DMSA or EDTA or other chelation are not the most effective programs, but the scientific principle of a chelate being able to pick up a heavy metal and move it out of the body is well proven. The side effects may well be such that these approaches are not wise.

I find that this article really is nothing more than a covert advertisement for that clinic.

Dr. M's article is great, but only offers how to avoid further heavy metal contamination, plus the suggestion that a good diet might allow the body to naturally detox.

Hey Doc, how about an evaluation of detox remedies that do work?
