Is there a way to make them more tasteful (for me)? I literally have to force them down me and dressings dont help @ all. also in my area(I live in the inner city and dont own a car) all that is around me are convenieence stores and if they have any produce its past its prime. That brings up another issue, having quality grocery stores in the inner city, close to pubic transportation. The government should really do something about that.

I just made myself hungry. I'm going to go have some broccoli, now...

Raw broccoli contains caffeic acid.which inflames 8 internal organs allowing easy entry for the cancer nucleus, to start a malignancy. So one can safely state that raw broccoli enhances the pathway for a tumor. Same reference as my other comment.

This is good if you have Grave's Disease, but it is not so good if you have Hashimoto's disease. Also, even mild cooking temperatures destroy isothiocyanates-- so you should probably eat these veggies raw. Are these also the same chemicals that makes soy a bad thing to eat?? I may also be wrong, but the quantity and quality of isothiocyanates are very inconsistent, depending upon the soil in which the vegetable was grown-- near the coasts yield the lowest amounts of these chemicals-- Scotty/Sioux City

I especially love broccoli soup - another way to get enough broc. If you grow your own, add plenty of the leaves. This adds lots of flavour and gives it 'body'. I puree it, and add some coconut cream - delicious!

As soon as anyone uses words like "heal" or "cures" your subjecting yourself to possible litigation by the FDA since they have stated that ONLY a drug can heal or cure, despite the fact that no drug has ever healed or cured anything.

It's SO INSANE now that even if you say that "water cures thirst" you can be arrested for practicing medicine without a license because the water has no been "magically" transformed into a drug and your now prescribing medicine without a license!!.. The whole FDA is already on too much of their own drugs for sure. But someone in Mercola's position has to be very careful about the wording in his articles.

I keep three or four starts going in succession in little clay flowerpot trays which I moisten with filtered water and add the seeds to a paper towel and spray all. I enclose it in a sandwich baggie and put it in the dark to germinate, then take it out to the light to finish growing to eating size. I add a tray a day to something -- nice and tasty. (I'm a protein type so I don't overdo it.)
